There will be many more guns than the ones listed but that is what I know for a fact. I'm questioning whether or not the m1 carbine was used in the pacific theater so depending on that, it may or may not be in the game.

1. The list I gave was by no means all. Just a five minute G-search.

2. Imports were a lot harder back then, it took time to get guns across the ocean.

3. Given the blind patriotism that both the US an Japan had at the time, none of them used imported guns, and they still don't.

4. The organizations in Call of Duty 4 were all terrorists and would have got their guns on the black market. they would've had no way of regulating the guns used. Japan was and is an organized state. They regulated weapons to their troops that were all made in Japan.

5. Now I'm going to get all commonsensical on your asses. Wouldn't it be easier to distribute ammunition to your troops, if you knew what kind of weapons they used? That's the reason Japan, and all countries throughout the world, regulate there weapons and don't just say "Go buy your own bullshit!" Even more evidence to this is that, in real life, The SAW Machine Gun, M16, and M4 all use the same 5.56mm round. This way, the US Military doesn't have to get pissed about sending off three different types of rounds for more money.

Which is exactly why COD5 may have more than your list....and may not adhere strictly to historic fact and logic.

And... Does it really matter? CoD4 had guns made in places other than Russia, US, UK and Those Terrorist countries. Ever hear of imports? MP44 is German, it was in CoD4, which has ONE mention of Germany in the whole game.
But what I'm trying to say, it doesn't matter where the gun was made.

A bad thing about some weapons is they have small magazines

The M1 Grand has only 8 bullets

That's why, in the Korean war they extended the magazine in the M1 to hold more bullets. They called it the M14. I'm sure your familiar to it.

Which is funny, cos you said that if COD5 added silencers and stuff it would ruin the "historical aspect of the game" haha.

I really hope the list you posted before isn't true. No Kar98, MP44, or MP40. There is a Sten in the game though (I think). In the co-op video, it looked like they used one...

Your right. That is a Sten. it was a British gun, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Americans used it every so often, and there were some British fighting the Japanese. I's minorly inaccurate, but semi-believable.

I really like COD4, and I hope them taking it back to WWII wont *bleep* everything up, otherwise I will just head back to COD4 <3<3<3
