re: When Will It Die? |
quote 20PeSTaR09It won't be a sequel in regards to storyline persay, it'll just be the name in the franchise. It's been officially released that the CoD franchise will split in two, so that's where the speculation of WaW2 is coming from... -------------------

when MW2 comes out, MW will be mostly ditched, but WaW will still be going because its still different than both of the MW's
When WaW2 is released (assuming after MW2) both MW and WaW will be mostly abandoned. WaW, though, may still be played because of Nazi Zombies, assuming WaW2 doesn't have it.

I don't think it will die as much as call of duty 4.
When CoD:WaW was released, it got a crapload of new players because the number was dropped. New people who saw it thought that it was no longer part of a major storyline, which is usually assumed when there's numbers after the game. People saw it as an individual game, not part of a series. However, most of the players dedicated to Call of Duty 4 will buy modern warfare 2, and the people who play world at war that haven't played call of duty 4 will probably stick to world at war. It won't die completely, but it will lose a bunch of players.

Call of Duty 4 hasn't died. Loads of people still play it, a lot of people (like me) still play it over COD: WaW.
