Okay im wondering about the different storyline for the co-op mode. I was wondering if this different story can only played through online co-op? or can me and my brother play the different story together offline?

I'd assume that it's the same as the game was in Resistance: Fall of Man. And where did you hear that the co-op mode would have a different storyline? In any case, co-op modes will be offline.

I remember hearing that it would have a different story line as well. But it would be linked with the single player story line.

Okay, that sounds good, I'd actually like to play the online (or even offline) co-op with friends. Should be great fun

Yeah, the Main Story will revolve around Nathan Hale and him going and retaking US city by city.

The Co-op campaign will revolve around you and 7 other people taking more of the suburban and rural areas back.

Both stories will parallel each other.

So will we be in different maps? Or will the maps be the same? If possible can you link me to the Podcast where they mention that or an article? Would be great to read the full details if you have any.

it is def different story, in co-op mode each people choose what class you want to play as, the class are not confirmed but i assume it to be something like sniper, medic, rifle guy and heavy. It can be played as offline and online... i think and it is seperate story line from single player. For source you can just google it. all the article say the same thing!!!

The last co-op preview I saw, apparently the co-op has its share of flaws, and that it seems nothing more than a gimmick as compared to L4D and Gears 2. Which is saddening, since firstly, Insomniac are really promoting the co-op, and secondly, we've a lack of great co-op games, so I was hoping this would be great.

But so far Co-op looks like a big 8-player team deathmatch.

I don't see what these supposed flaws are. You and 7 other players fight through waves of enemies, bosses and objectives. That's all I'm expecting from it and that's all I've seen so far.
