Creepiest/Eeriest Tenchu stage EVER |
|
What is the Creepiest, scariest, eeriest and most atmospheric level in the Tenchu series? From haunted forests, to castles inhabited by machines, Tenchu has had its darker moments. But what stage (part of a stage) sent a shiver up your spine?

I just played through, slowly taking apart enemies.
Never really payed attention to the level design. ...No, hold on. The wooden Robots Level, that's extremely strange.

Surely you felt the atmosphere in the game? I stealth through most levels (the point of the game, so of course) and i still go the feel of the creepyness.
But yeah, Amagai castle, with the robots, was strange. The music added to this aswell! And the eerie glow from the molten metal. ------------------- "I would Happily accept the title of Fool, if it means that I can save even one life from your Blood-Drenched Dream." - Rikimaru, Tenchu: Birth of the Assassins

Have you spent 28 minutes timing a perfect kill?
Too focused on one thing at a time tbh.

28 minutes on one level maybe!!!
I find that height is the greatest vantage point to stealth kills on WoH. ------------------- "I would Happily accept the title of Fool, if it means that I can save even one life from your Blood-Drenched Dream." - Rikimaru, Tenchu: Birth of the Assassins

The perfect kill:
I timed so Ayame was to get up from the ledge at the moment he was looking at the pit, with the other enemy not looking. I got up from the ledge, pressed the square button, and used the SK that pulls the enemy. He fell off the ledge. Laid down Poison Rice, dropped off the ledge again. Did the same with the other guy. 28 min of prep

LOL. I have spent longer than that (1 hour+) doing the same level over and over. I kept getting spotted, and starting again.

Being spotted does not do much against you.
It cuts 30 points. | |

And the bonus of not being spotted. And then there are the deductions from 'normal' kills. I aim to get 420+ on each level. I can do it most of the time.
You grand mastered all layouts? ------------------- "I would Happily accept the title of Fool, if it means that I can save even one life from your Blood-Drenched Dream." - Rikimaru, Tenchu: Birth of the Assassins

I had to delete my old one.
My normal goal is usually about 540+ I haven't gotten to GMing every layout yet. Only just restarted.

Kool. Be sure to tell me if you see anything 'out-of-place' in other layouts, cus im starting again too. I'll tell you why in a new thread eh?
Been playing Taizen/Time of the assassins grand mastering everything. It is probably the hardest Tenchu game to complete with full grand master. And the only one that i have trouble with item supplies. A brilliant game though. Level editor is better than Birth's was too. ------------------- "I would Happily accept the title of Fool, if it means that I can save even one life from your Blood-Drenched Dream." - Rikimaru, Tenchu: Birth of the Assassins

PSP. And yeah it does carry on the story-line, our last hope before Wii takes over everything...

Wii can never be able to simulate Tenchu.
That gives me an idea...

I see, I see.
Back to this topic: I have to say that the Cemetary was creepy. The music was tense. The level had freaky enemies. There were severed heads on tables, and knee-high pools of blood. Cats that alerted enemies. And a manic boss battle whoever you play as. Good idea though with the sword and the steel. ------------------- "I would Happily accept the title of Fool, if it means that I can save even one life from your Blood-Drenched Dream." - Rikimaru, Tenchu: Birth of the Assassins
