y'know what woulda been neat? once you completed the game,if you replay rikimaru's levels,you can really take advantage of using his shadow. become a shadow on the ground. be darkness in the corner. lotsa possibilties.

That's a bit more literal interpretation of shadow than what the game's storyline used. In the story his "shadow" would best be described as a doppelganger.

What you are suggesting is rather interesting and reminds me of a villain from the old Bionic 6 cartoon.

thinking of buying this game and rikimaru sounds like a good charactor to play as
