Whats the story of this this tomb raider game? Does it take place before or after Tomb Raider: Legend?

I'm only a couple missions into the game, but Underworld basically takes place right after Legend. There is returning characters from the previous game (Amanda, for instance) and Lara is searching to find out what happened to her mother.
