Be sure to check if you've encountered one, such as this one:

"NOTE: You may encounter a bug here, in which the second calendar is unusable. This can manifest with a random, yellow rectangle floating above the jaguar handle and/or a black void at the center of the dial. As far as I can tell, this occurs when you do not first examine the other calendar puzzle during The Unnamed Days level. The walkthrough for that level explains how to avoid the bug. If you've already encountered it, you'll have to reload an earlier save, from before The Unnamed Days and replay that section correctly. Or, you can download one of my Wii save files, either to restart the level or get past the bug."
