Man, horses in the 360 version are hard to find...the ps3 guides don't help really at all. Can any one help suggest what i should try to do?

I suggest using levels that have crates with horse saddles in them such as Guan du, Shi ting, Chang ban, yellow turban rebellion and the mountain one I can't seem to remember. Basically your only chance on getting a rare horse is to break the crates open to get a horse saddle. If you are more interested in getting better horses then anything else, I suggest trying to get the skill 'find saddle' on the horses you do get. This will up your chances from 1 definite horse saddle per map to 2 saddles. Also, if you have 2 horses with find saddle and 2 controllers you can use both characters per map and end up with a grand total of 3 saddles that you will have at the end of the map no matter what (assuming you complete the map). Last but not least there are 2 more factors to getting a great horse:
1. A level 50 character- simply because this seems to be the only and best way to get a heavenly horse.
2. A level 50 character who has the skill 'Lady Luck'- This skill makes the horse saddle drop more often from officers then usual.
With 1 saddle from an officer when you complete the level using 2 people with a horse that has find saddle, and getting a saddle from one of the crates, you will have a grand total of 4 saddles at the end of each map you do
Officers who have Lady luck are:
Zhen Ji - Wei forces
Liu Bei - Shu forces
Guan Ping - Shu forces
Xiao Qiao - Wu forces
Before I go into training the horse let me just say that the best horses you can possibly get are the ones whos description says: His eyes consider the world and he has a heavenly physique. Those horses will turn into 'king' horses. see the bottom for a list of all 6 of them.
Anyway once you have a horse that has a good description you are going to want to train it BUT .. to get the most out of your horse make sure you train it with a person who has the skill 'horsemanship' The characters with this skill are:
Lu bu
Guan Yu
Yuan Shao
And afew others that I can't recall right now.

Horse Kings:

These are the horses that will turn into kings and a list of the colors they will start off as when they are level 1 Remember it must have CONSIDER and HEAVENLY in the description when you first get the horse or it is not a king. The diffrent kings are:
Dapple king - Brown
Ebon king - Darkish color
Auburn king - Light brown
Shadow runner king - Black
Grey king - White
Red hare king - Red

Im sure I forgot alot of details but this was just a quick guide on how to get good horses. I personally use either Guan Du on easy difficulty Cao Cao's side or Shi-ting on master difficulty Wu's side. So far I have the Dapple king,Ebon king,Auburn king,and the Shadow runner king and I got them all from those 2 maps. The characters I use to get them with are usually Zhen Ji or Guan Ping when I go looking for good horses.

On a side note I know you didn't ask for rare horses you wanted horses in general but you can get any type of horse with this method im just giving you better odds of getting a king

i find about 2-3 horses every level, there easy to get!

[b]Questions:

1)Is there a hex mark? If there is, is it the grey king?

2)Look at some lvl 5s horses. There will be ebon____ or Grey ____etc. If you have 7 ebon___, will you have a higher chance of getting ebon king?

u get 2-3 horses each lvl? what lvl are u doing
