I want to eletricute my sim. How do you do that and can they die from it?

Stand outside in storm.
Use the weather maker for big storm.
When most sims get hit, they have blacken face, hair sticking up and clothes burnt off. They still walk around.
All I had to do was take a shower to get rid of "struck" look.
On another thread they say the look will stick if you don't get rid of it in time??

Had my sim repair dish washer.
She lit up like a xray machine was taking pictures.
Got all blacked up, took shower to look normal.
The first time I saw someone all blacked up, I thought it was a new sim. Then I clicked on her to find out it was the young chick on barren banks. I didn't know then what caused the new look.
