The game's a joke. Just take a look at units, I always remember as RA being more fantasy than the Tiberium universe but this is a joke. WTF are Shinobi doing in a modern war? Boats become tanks, planes become ships... what is this? The Japan super infantry floats with psychic powers... is this game based off some silly cartoon? The names of the Japan ships just make me laugh, if I were Japanese I'd take that as an insult to the culture really. WTF is that frog boat the soviets have and what's that design for the apocalypse tank; yeah I know EA have *bleep*ED this game.

Because I'm already taking too much realism in world Military and seek something that more "unique"

I think the name for the Japanese units are just fine. Most of them came from Japanese myths. Such as the Tengu, which came from a Japanese folklore. However I do agree with you about the Apocalypse tank, it looks weird and that EA has taken one of the Red Alert's formula core out, and replaced it with another, but I think it's too early to judge. Who knows the change might have been for the better.

Yes, the Yari was a spear and the naginata was something similar to a spear but why in God's name would you name ships after spears!? It's just copying some japanese stuff.

I think you, yourself agree that's it's beyond bizzare and outside of the C&C universe. C&C has always been about tanks and rushes and good defenses not about cartoony graphics and ideas that won't fit in this world no matter what.

Buildings in water? Now that's even more cool. Soon EA will rebuild Rapture in the C&C universe. (No offense to Bioshock, that game was great and the idea was much more logical and made it look possible.)

Honestly, I think the game looks good. I'm not really a fan of Anime myself but the idea of Japan arising as a power with this magnitude is rather interesting. It would be fun trying to beat this faction using either the Soviets or the Allies.

The only problem I see is the graphics. It would be really irritating to buy a new card just for this game, but I think it's worth it.

first let me say this, No Game Is Going To Please Everybody
that being said, i am proud to say that i have a fully paid pre-order on the premier edition, b/c i think this game will be very good indeed

naming ships after weapons is very normal, after all, what is a battleship if not a weapon? or would u prefer them to do it the american way and name their ships after states/provinces??

also, lets not forget, that its an alternate timeline we r working with here, no one can truly say what would be different if even the smallest changes were made to history, we all know what happens now (so to speak) if u remove hitler, so removing enstien would cause the world to be even further from what we are accustomed to yes?

now, i will say, some of the unit designs r kinda funny lookin, but u r comparing them to 2D images, at any rate, we r all free to express our opinion, if u dont like it fine, dont buy it, dont play it, but stop trying to make other ppl dislike it who wanna give it a fair shot....
thats all i ask...
