Thanks, SXH. Wow, yet another deity. How many gods are there so far? Let's see...Fu Xi, Nu Wa, Taigong Wang, Taira Kiyomori, Orochi and now Yoshitsune Minamoto. Its Susanoo...I hope. But who's to say that will be the final new character? For all we know, there could be more, like Koei said. "90 or more in total".

Actually Yoshitsune Minamoto and Kiyomori Taira are the most mortal of the list. They actually existed historically.

Taigong Wang (Jiang Ziya) is semi-mythical, as in he may or may not have existed historically.

And of course, Orochi, Nu Wa, Fu Xi, and Da Ji are myths.

Your hopes of Susanoo are the most logical if you go through the list and pair up friend and foe from their respective times and stories:

Taigong Wang vs. Da Ji
Yoshitsune Minamoto vs. Kiyomori Taira
Susanoo vs. Orochi

Orochi needs his rival, Susanoo to make things symmetrical.

Then again, it is "90 or more" so there could be another villain pair to go up against Fu Xi and Nu Wa....

What I'm wondering is whether Taira had any notable allies/sidekicks who could possibly be added. I mean, excluding the whole laser thing, Yoshitsune is, IMO, the greatest addition revealed so far (actually, probably tied with the updated Fu and Nu) but it'll seem weird playing with him and not having Benkei around (especially after my only experiences and knowledge with and of Yoshitsune have always had Benkei right there beside him, in video games, movies and history) but I can't see Benkei being added without another ally of Taira (or, at least, another enemy of Yoshitsune)

I'm 99% certain Susanoo will be in (and, I don't know why, but I can see him having a rough ragged Samurai appearance, like Mitsurugi from Soul Calibur) but this would obviously take up space for other characters, thus reducing the chance of Benkei's addition

I hope Susanoo isnt in... I just dont like the sound of him ~_~

Cross your fingers, Susano supporters, there is an 80% chance the Famitsu issue of tomorrow will feature another new character, possibly the last. The "last character" part is a maybe (some predict 2 to 3 more), but according to previous patterns, #90 should show up.

He or she (there is a high chance Koei will add another female to the roster) will originate from one of the five wells of current source material:

• Chinese lore
  
• Japanese myth
  
• Three Kingdoms Era (3rd century China)
  
• Heian Period (794-1185 Japan)
  
• Sengoku Period (15th-16th century Japan)

We can now add "Journey to the West" to the list above since Sun Wukong has been added. Speaking of additions...

It looks like turtles to me or my second guess will be some living creature that can expand or something like that, but most likely it is the turtle king since they added the monkey king
