His weapon is a fishing rod. Oh, and for a fun fact, he is Tai in Mystic Heroes (old PS2 Koei game). The right one is Taira no Kiyomori, a general in the Heian Period. His weapon is a big rosary. BlackKite explains character details: Kiyomori is planning to revive Orochi. Taigong Wang comes to the crossover world in order to prevent Orochi's revival. Ahhh, an awesome thread. Great scans of the new characters. I really love Nu Wa's new look and Taigong wang sounds like he could be an interesting character with an interesting story though I'm not really very fond of his look in that picture.

Ahh awesome, a full list of all the characters.
One thing i am curious about is why characters such as Xing Cai were cut from DW6 but kept in this game, unless it is somehow related to DW 6's move to ps3. Glad to see all my favourties from the last game still in there. Though i wonder how many of those will be starting characters and how many will have to be unlocked. ------------------- ![]() | |

I hope in this game characters are a challenge to unlock. Not just finishing a level, finishing it in style, like how you unlocked Musahi Miyamoto on the first game. It may have been annoying when one of the guys died but hey it made the game last longer.

i think there should be a mix, like in WO1, were some were unlocked simply by completing missions and others were unlocked by completing certain objectives in the extra levels. Hopefully they will use a similar system but maybe with a few more characters being unlocked with harder challenges. Though i am hoping there will in fact be a few more starting characters than in the first game, just so there is a little more choice in the early stages.

Opening Lu Bu and Tadekatsu in the last game was great, more characters being opened as a process through more than one level would be good IMO, that'll make it longer and harder. Perhaps all the levels would be from one musou though so that a character will join a specific faction.
Also, since the characters are already in factions, won't they want to fight with you? Unless they want to defect, there wouldn't be any "winning over a characters heart" type missions as they're already all happy where they start...so I'm not quite sure how characters would be unlocked when you already start with them as such...if you know what I mean... ------------------- ![]() | |

Yes, since the members of each faction was already decided on where are they going to be, will all the characters be intially unlocked from the start? Or maybe some of the characters will be captured again, and then you have to rescue them, thus unlocking them afterwards?

Time to add another character to the list!
New Character: Yoshitsune Minamoto ![]() It is like he has the Cao Ren version of a Gundam Beam saber... credit BlackKite of KW for the info: Introducing the Gold Saint, Minamoto no Yoshitsune Details on Versus & Survival Modes. Apparently, Survival = Versus until you are KOed. Also, details on useable items that can be used after getting by pressing L3. Why am I reminded of Naruto: Narutimate Hero?
