Ok, here I go again

The four of us got together to discuss battle plans, though Nobunaga was a talented commander he wasn't infallible. There must have been a way to defeat him! We debated for some time before we decided on our battle plans. And so it was set, I charged forth to meet Nobunaga's main force head on, with little more than 300 men behind me, I faced an army of 80,000. I would hold nothing back!

I began my attack, carefully making sure my men weren't overwhelmed by the enemy. I needed to make sure I stood my ground long enough to execute the plan. Seeing my skill in battle, the Demon King decided it would be amusing to face me himself. He demanded a duel, none of his men would attack, if my men did the same. Knowing Nobunaga is not only a cunning leader, but a skilled swordsman, I calmly ordered my men to step down, and walked towards Nobunaga.

We fought for roughly 30 bouts, evenly matched, however, I grew tired quickly, with Nobunaga not even breaking a sweat, I had to retreat. My men and I began our escape, while Nobunaga began pursuit, the time was now! Kanetsugu gave the order to execute the rockslide, Nobunaga barely managed to avoid being crushed, but he had been separated from his army. Only he and a dozen other soldiers were on our side of the 8 metres of rock now on the floor.

However, Nobunaga still stayed calm, I will never understand this man, but does he really stay calm even in certain defeat? He started to laugh, as if we were the ones in a trap. I decided this was his way to try and sap our morale, I attacked and just as I did Akechi Mitsuhide suddenly appeared by my side! How could this be?! I barely managed to repel his sword, but just as I did Shibata Katsuie appeared at the other side! This time there was no way I could repel it in time! Nagamasa barely got his lance in the way, with his weapon in a deadlock, I used this opportunity to kick Katsuie in the chest. Kanetsugu had also come to join us, as we all stood ready to face the officers before us, we realised that during the fighting even more warriors had made it through! Looking at the rock wall we created we realised that during the fighting that Toyotomi Hideyoshi had created a hole in the wall. He stood near the centre grinning, then suddenly the hole wall was blown up!

How could this have happened? This must have been part of Nobunaga's plan, he knew exactly what we were going to do so he went along with our plan to draw us out, but not before ordering Mitsuhide and Katsuie to ambush us to hold us off until Hideyoshi could make the necessary preparations to bring the rest of the allies. Nobunaga truly deserves the title Demon King. It is over, even if we resisted we would all have been cut down and killed. With Ma Chao's well being in mind, I had no choice but to surrender to the Oda. Kanetsugu and Nagamasa followed suite, and so we were bound and escorted to the main camp, where I pleaded for Ma Chao's life and asked that my men take him to Ji Province so he could serve under Nobunaga once more. Nobunaga accepted my proposal, under the condition that I too join his cause, as even though Ma Chao and I are master spear fighters, we seemed to fight better as a team. Nobunaga thought that had Ma Chao been in fighting form, we could have probably defeated his army.

Although Nobunaga's forces are planning on domination of the land, the one thing I loathed in any lord, I had too much fear for my allies' safety, I had no choice but to pledge my allegiance to the Oda. Worse still, Nobunaga had taken note of my purpose to summon Zuo Ci, who he knew had great power. Nobunaga's first command was to take him to the alter in Ji Province, summon Zuo Ci, and persuade him to join the Oda. I know Zuo Ci would never join Nobunaga, but for my friends, I must try...

Musashi and i walked back to camp together, as equals, both with smiles from ear to ear. It had been a long time since i had spent time with him and the years seemed to fall off when we spoke to eachother. It had been a great battle, we both knew it, and so did my fifty who had set up stations arund the building, making sure everything was alright. I saw and counted all fifty of them while i healed my wound and all of their eyes bugged out when they saw where my wound used to be. I am still on top, i had thought, smiling.

"Sire...." said Noboru, awestruck at my new companion.
"You can stop gaping brother. yes, i persuaded him. Musashi Miyamoto is one of us now!" i said, putting added volume and emphasis on the last part, which was receieved by shouts of "hoorah" and whistles.
"I pledge my sword to your cause Lord 5Rings." replied Musashi with his sword in the air, only to be answered by more shouts of "5Rings Forever".

We both kept up the charade, exchanging conversations with various soldiers, each wanting to know what happened. Finally over all the noise i got them quiet with a stare and yelled:

"If you wish to hear our tale, come to the sitting ground at sundown and musashi and i shall retell it to you."

I said this, sorely thinking of Lord Artirtico, hoping that he would show up tonight to here our battle, for it was truly a good story to tell. Well, heres to hoping, i thought, walking away towards my tent.

Okay, here I go again! Sorry, guys. Yesterday night I wasn't at home, so I can't continue my story. Now I will!

This morning, Lu Xun & Mystic marched to Anegawa. A soldier approached them.

Lord Lu Xun! General Spear Master headed to Ji Province! They are no longer in Anegawa!

What?!

DAMMIT! Lord Lu Xun, let's go to Ji Province!

And they turned and went to Ji Province IMMEDIATELY. When they arrived, they saw them everyone.

There they are! All forces, CHAR...

Shhh... Mystic, we shouldn't head-on attack them. We should wait for an opportunity.

They kept hiding and waiting for a chance

Well, this time is so short, sorry...

How about that, Spear Master? Are you really on Ji Province or still in Anegawa? Is this alright? If you don't like this part, I can edit this.

BTW, Spear Master, what colors do you use for you and Ma Chao? I think Ma Chao uses green and you use lime. How about that? Or you have any idea?

He was continuing his Campaign on Edo, until he realized that his 5 Demon Assassins, that he sent, were killed. He looked up into the Great Horizon.

So, the Resistance Force managed to kill my assassins, did they? Huh, looks like I will have to deal with them myself. General Cobra, I leave you in charge of the Edo Campaign until I comeback.

He nodded. Cobra was loyal and his most highly-trusted officer. Cobra and Spawn always talked about strategies and plans of action and so, Cobra was given control of the Dark Force.

Time to deal with the growing Resistance Force. I will put an end to their rallying. Anial natrach, do men dien ven they, anial natrach, yeh dah, anial natrach

He chanted some words of evil and then began to search for the people that he encountered before. He laughed, maliciously, and then he put his sword in upright position. He closed his eyes and started to focus his energy and then he opened his eyes! In the blink of an eye, a black portal appeared and he vanished. The portal disappeared and then he appeared at Anegawa.

It appears that they split up. Haha, and now...

He put his hands together and started to chant again. He then, created 2 clones of himself! He saw part of the Resistance go to Ji Province and so, he made his clone, which had the same powers as he did, go towards there. He made the other clone go back to Edo Castle, where it will assist Cobra.

I will finish off the Resistance right here and end their struggle.

With that, he then summoned armies of demons, 2000 each going with himself and the clones. He then ordered his own army to march towards the main camp, where 5Rings, Musashi, and Artirtico was at. It was a distance away from Anegawa. He raised his hands

Set fire to their main camp! Their recklessness will lead to their downfall!

The Fire Attack unit appeared, with several cannons and had some archers, wielding fire arrows!

Fire!!

He gave the signal and the cannons bombarded their camp, setting everything ablaze.

Meanwhile, his clone at Ji Province began to wage battle against the Oda and Azai-Naoe alliance. The Fire Attack will cause 5Rings, Musashi and Artirtico to retreat, separating them from Lu Xun and Mystic. His plans were in action and he gave a wicked smile.

They will be separated and then, that's when we crush them.

The forces of the Oda were indeed cunning. As we received word that the armies of the demon Spawn had attacked from behind, Nobunaga simply laughed. He anticipated an attack and sent out a detatched decoy unit to distract them, had Spawn attacked their main army, I would have been able to escape with my friends.

We arrived at the alter, where I told Nobunaga no impure souls were to set foot on the alter until Zuo Ci had been summoned. I lit five candles, each decorated to depict the five elements; water, fire, wind, earth & metal. Putting my hands together, I prepared to recite the ancient words, taught to me by Zuo Ci himself long ago...

Artirtico

Artirtico, Zhao Yun and Zhang Liao continued to slowly lead their forces across the plain towards Rings camp. As they drew nearer, any anticipation that Artirtico had been feeling evaporated as he saw, sat in the middle of the camp on a raised platform, 5Rings and Musashi together with their men encircling them, all sat on the ground. The scene reminded Artirtico somewhat of his schooling where the teacher was about to tell a story to the children. Clearly the men had requested a fully detailed, blow to blow account of the dual between the two commanders.

Artirtico's fully relaxed attitude was then however dented as Ma Dai reported a disturbance to the rear. Artirtico halted the men and turned to see a mass of fire arrows and heated cannon shots strike the camp they had resided within hours earlier. Flames erupted unrealistically quickly and burned with a slight purple-black tinge. This was recognised by Artirtico to be the colour that the demon warriors and master whom he had met earlier had been tainted with.

"We must alert 5Rings of this immediately. Men, arm yourselves and make full haste to the camp ahead!" Artirtico turned back once more, his face slightly lined with worry recognising the size of the demon force. He however, couldn't help giving a slight smile - Spawn had set fire to the wrong camp!

5Rings and Musashi were just getting into the flow of detailing their epic dual when the sound of charging cavalry was heard. Within moments, a large group of horsemen had dashed into their camp, fully armed.

"Men, draw weapons, fight!", cried Musashi loudly.

"Stop!", bellowed Artirtico. He dismounted and sheathed his swords, ordering the men following him to do the same. 5Rings recognised Artirtico's voice so leapt up and in the nick of time, stopped Musashi from beheading him on the spot.

"Musashi, they're our allies now", 5Rings said calmly, "Still, Artirtico, why do you charge in on us like this? How did you expect us to react hmm?"

"We have company to our rear, an army like none faced before made up of and lead by demons...we come to you in haste in desperate need of aid. Thankfully, the enemy must have made a mistake, torching the camp that we just left instead of this one...otherwise there wouldn't be too many of us left..."

"Demons!", cried a soldier under Musashi's command, "How are we supposed to kill demons?"

"Oh they're quite killable - don't you worry about that", replied Artirtico with a smile, remembering the assasins that he and Mystic had killed.

"In that case, we must ready ourselves for combat immediately! Artirtico, please take your army to defend the right, I and Musashi shall defend the left."

"That suits me, although none of these men are mine...each one has an officer here...Zhao Yun! Zhang Liao! Ma Dai! would you mind coming over here to discuss plans with 5Rings and Musashi". Musashi looked surprised to suddenly find himself in the company of the three generals he thought he had been enemies with until a few seconds ago but put it to the back of his mind, thinking of the bigger picture.

Lu Meng too walked over, saying "So then, what to do..."

They launched their attacks and arrows whistled through the air, only to collide with the Resistance camp. Cannons bombarded the enemy fortress and bombardiers threw bombs. It wasn't before long, when the camp was totally set on fire. Peons and civilians screamed in fear and panicked. Soldiers yelled, in agony. Streams of steam drew from the camp and the roaring flame burned to the Horizon.

Now, surround their camp and prevent any hopes of escape!

The Dark forces began to surround the fortress.

Now Resistance force, what will you do now?

He laughed and then he got ready for battle.

NO!!! Spawn attack again!!!

Hey, who are they, Lord Lu Xun? Mystic pointed something from distance.

They are... Lu Xun thought for a second. The demons we have slain before!

NO!!! What should we do!!!??? Mystic asked frantically.

Calm down, Mystic.

CALL FOR REINFORCEMENT??!!! She asked, almost shouting.

They have blocked our way. We should repel them by ourselves. Now, we should go to Spear Master. Hurry!

As he said, they ran toward the altar. Slashing and killing those who stand in their way. When they finally arrived at the altar, Spear Master was still calling for Zuo Ci.

Spear Master!!!! Mystic called him.

Shhh... he's calling Zuo Ci. We shouldn't disturb him.

So, what should we do?

Let's killing those demons who dare to come near this sacred altar.

Alright.

Then, they retreated about a miles and they faced the army of demons.

Ugh... I'm so scared, Lord Lu Xun. She trembled in fear.

Don't show the enemy your weakness, Mystic. Be brave.

Mystic nodded. She closed her eyes for a few second, as if to call her own bravery and power. I'm ready, Lord Lu Xun!

They kept fighting and fighting. The demons seemed endless. They were going weary now.

I... can't...

No, Lord Lu Xun!

That's the time when she finally realized her mistakes. Lu Xun hadn't fully recovered yet! His wound opened again. He fell from his horse and lied down on the ground.

Mystic approached him and helped him to sit against a nearby tree. Lord Lu Xun, are you okay?

She looked at her troops. The number kept decreasing. But the demon had been in a great loss too. It wasn't more than a hundred by now.

Mystic, I'm sorry... I shouldn't make you worry like this...

Mystic was extremely panic right now. Her mind was racing. DAMMIT! Don't say anything!

His arm was wounded, she realized this. She tore a part of her clothes and bandage the wound. I shouldn't let you join this fight! You're still in no condition of fighting! How stupid am I!

Suddenly, a figure appeared behind them. They turned around to look at the figure. To their surprise, it was Spawn.

You again! What do you want?! She stood up and pointed at Spawn (that's actually Spawn clone).

Okay, that's for now. Spawn, do you wish to control your clone by yourself or do you let me to control it? If you want to control it, please post as soon as possible. I'm waiting for your action.

Sorry, Spear Master. I don't wish to disturb you. I'm afraid that whether I or Lu Xun were ones of the impure souls. So, I let you call Zuo Ci when I tried to guard the altar. Is it okay?

The clones of Spawn can speak by themselves and so, it did.

You resistance is futile. I plan on crushing this oppression and so, I will. I know all about your relationship with Lu Xun. Once I break that bond, what will you do?

It laughed evilly and then began to attack the two. Though it was a clone, it had all the memories of the actual Spawn. It sensed a mystical enchanting coming from an altar, near by.

Someone from the altar is trying to call a mystical being. Hah, demon infantry, attack the person at the altar and stop his summoning. As for you two, you will surrender or die.

It got ready and drew out its weapons.

Suddenly, word arrived that Spawn's army had taken out the decoy unit much quicker than expected, Nobunaga ordered me to hurry. The impatient fool knows nothing of Taoism, but I must do all I can. I took out my tags, a gift from Zuo Ci himself which I strung up and put them around my neck, these gave me the ability to release my inner power when used with the sacred alters. With the candles lit, I read out the ancient texts:

"I call upon you, in the sky, watching us, with your good eye, using the heavens, as your base, to watch over, the human race ..."

As I recited these powerful words, clouds gathered, the sky darkened, and a storm approached.
I continued, drawing my spear..

"I use myself, as the bait, to re decide, this land's fate, spilling my, own flesh and blood, to contribute, to the greater good.."

I used my spear to impale myself, much to the horror of Nobunaga's and my own allies, as part of the ritual. The winds had picked up, the storm grew fiercer, now to finish it..

"Stronger than the wind, more fierce than the sea, I call upon you, Zuo Ci!!"

With that, my power erupted from my tags, healing my wound and releasing a powerful energy to the sky. Nobunaga's men could barely believe what they were seeing, Nobunaga himself appeared calm, as always. When the energy dispersed, what stood in it's place was Zuo Ci. At last, I can save my allies. Suddenly Spawn's army had broken through and came to attack us directly, I asked Zuo Ci for his aid, he used his magic to rapidly enhance Ma Chao's recovery, he was able to fight again. In the confusion that ensued, Nagamasa, Kanetsugu and Ma Chao had managed to free themselves from their ropes and steal back their weapons. I thanked Zuo Ci for his assistance. He gave me a slight smile and without another word, pointed to a nearby tree and disappeared. It seems he wanted us to save ourselves. I looked towards the tree he pointed to, and saw... Mystic! How did she get here? She was nursing an injured Lu Xun when Spawn suddenly appeared! He must want rid of us all badly if he came to destroy us himself. With my weapon at the ready, I called upon my allies to attack Spawn and aid Mystic and Lu Xun. We charged towards him with our weapons leading the way. Prepare yourself Spawn...

Woohoo!! This should be fun!

The actual Spawn was busy attacking the camp of 5Rings, with his allies. Spawn Clone #1, seems to be in a tight situation and it needs to grasp it, fast.

So, it seems as if I'm surrounded. Time to even things up.

The Clone did rapid hand movements and then ended with a fist to the ground, shaking everyone around him. Out from ground, two demon grunts, known as Viper and Venom, appeared. These two were very skillful in handling their weapons, which was two swords for Viper and two spears for Venom.

Attack, Viper and Venom!

Yes sir! they replied.

They began to fight, the clone as well.

Resistance force, just surrender and I will make your death go by as quick as possible.

The clone replied, in a wicked voice. Thus, the Battle of Ji Province has become the Oda vs. the Dark Force.

Nagamasa and Kanetsugu attacked Viper and Venom while Ma Chao and I moved to protect Mystic & Lu Xun. We stood in the way of Spawn with our spears crossed. It seems our battle was none other than destiny, Zuo Ci knew this, and also knew it was up to use to make sure we survived. I gave a smile and a nod to Mystic, still unsure of why she came here, then turned to Spawn, waiting for his first move...
