Hmm..well Cao Xing wouldn't have been killed...Cao Cao may have been a bit down for a while but in the long run I don't really think it would have effected things too much - Xiahou Dun was a solid general but did nothing outstanding after the eye incident so I'm sure another reliable general could have completed anything just as well as he did

Yeah, I saw this documentary called Shogun about Ieyasu a while ago and I got it off that.

If Tadakatsu had served the Asakura, he might have left them for a stronger clan, or stuck it out with the Oda at Anegawa. If he'd fought against Nobunaga, I think the Asakura would still have been beaten, but maybe Nobunaga would spare his life in return for his service.

I read the book!! by James Clavell. really good book. 1200 pages though. lol ive read it four times.

The Takeda wouldnt be near as strong as they could have been with Shingen at its head. Personally, Shingen was the only upside of their whole history. When his heir took over, the clan was slaughtered.

If Keiji had stayed with Toshiie, then he'd have been caught up in the Katsuie Shibata vs Nobunaga thang at Shizugatake. I think he'd probably go back to the Oda, but probably go his own way when Nobunaga died.

Shogun is centered around the events leading up to Sekigahara in Ieyasu's Point of View. Really good read. The author couldnt use actual names bcause of copyright infringement, but if you wikipedia the book, it has a list to who everybody. some of them are quite obvious though.

If Mitsuhide and Ranmaru joined the Uesugi instead, i think they could have gotten close to uniting Japan. Kenshin was a more likeable general so Mitsuhide wouldnt have assassinated him, and ranmaru would be just as loyal to Kenshin as she was to Nobunaga. The only problem was that Kenshin still died of illness.

EDIT: What if Kenshin and Shingen were best friends while still being heads of their clans?
