The active reload advances the sniper.

I don't think the one melee in the back would work. Most times if you melee them in the back you end up killing them, but there is a chance they could get away so I don't think one melee kill is a good idea.

Vehicles - In SP, yes but I don't think it is a good idea on MP.

Last idea seems pretty cool but that's basicly what the chainsaws for.

Yeah, close combat weapon would be pretty cool. Other than the chainsaw, some sort of blade would be great (would be awkward running around with a sword on you hand though).

What are you on about? Hammerburst was one of the most effective weapons on Gears. Burst fire for accuracy, good strength and a quick melee. Was far superior to the lancer.
Me and my friend play a variation of about 8 maps and Hammerburst is always the first one to be swapped. Even in ranked it was used very seldomly.

Most people overlook it, probably because it was the starting weapon on single player, and wasn't too useful. However, I really do recommend giving it a try for MP, I love it.

When the lancer got more powerful, I was like "Woah" so I just always used that. When I first started SP, I was desperate to use the chainsaw that I had used at my friends so I just never used it. I'll try it again.

I wouldn't mind a knife or something lke that. It pisses me off to no end when I'm running towards something with the chainsaw revved up, when a single bullet hits me and makes me lower it. I always get so confused, too, when that happens(it usually ends with, "WHAT THE *bleep*?" from me). It's actually pretty funny in a way.

It would be nice too, if we could tap the melee button to punch with the lancer, and hold the melee button to chainsaw. They once discussed the idea before, I recently watched production videos of GoW and I heard Cliffy B talking about it, I don't seee why they took it out. Maybe it seemed like too much of an advantage.

I really don't see much in terms of weapons that they need to change. As someone said before, GoW had a perfect arsenal of weapons.

Damn, GoW is awesome. I can't wait for GoW2...

The Hammer Burst is definitely an effective weapon. Thing is, you had to reload every few seconds. I only used it to melee people.
Different type of pistols should also be considered.

If everybody has 1 life per round then no, no frags as default. Too many random kills.

A harpoon gun and a flamethrower are my two favorites so far. They sound awesome.


I also like Ali' idea of better looking guns for locust. Maybe some alien-style design on all locust guns, which you're not allowed to pick up if they die. Meaning the only fallen guns you can pick up are from your own teammates.

That could be pretty cool ryan, but instead of not being able to use your opponents weaponry at all, perhaps have a slight damage/accuracy penalty when using them. Easily explained by the foreign equipment being unsuited to each species.

The Boltok Pistol is lame. If they can replace it with another pistol, that would be fine with me.

A turret should be feature in the campaign or at least in a map.
