I, like many others enjoy the multiplayer in GoW. Of course there were certain aspects people didn't particulary like and would like to see changed in GoW2. One idea would be to have the default weapons changed, instead of having to pick up a weapon you would already have it in your arsenal. Or having the ability to unlock new weapons or weapon attachments the further you progress in multiplayer.

What does everyone want to see changed in multiplayer?

I'd quite like to see an option for customisable default weaponry for player matches, and perhaps have the shotgun taken away as a starting weapon as the default setting for all other matches.

Wouldn't like the whole weapon unlock thing though, would unbalance the game hugely, and just reward those with more time on their hands.

Definitely the option to choose the default weapons. Unlocking new weapons isn't necessary.
Oh and larger maps would be great. That way, more room for more people to join. Eight just isn't enough. :/

Depends. Larger maps would be good if there were new multiplayer gametypes to make use of it. If all the game types were in the style of the current ones, larger maps with more people wouldn't work too well. People who die early would just get bored waiting for everyone else to finish.

It did, On MP and Campaign.

Hopefully it uses servers instead of individual hosts. Cleaning up the glitches.

In Player it would be khol to choose the starting weapons but in ranked if you started with the lancer and shotgun I still think that would be fine. If there was weapons achivements it would be far too easy.

The ability to lock public player matches to invite only.

I'd like to see a better ranking system. Something like the ranking system in Halo 3 or COD4. The ability to see other peoples stats prior to the match beginning. Also I would like to see all the kill stats for each individual weapon.

That also brings me to the point that they should feature re-spawnds between matches. Even a limited amount would be great. Annex was great, but got boring for the fact that everyone is just trying to kill each other for a long period of time. Maybe a new game type that you have to reach a certain amount of kills?

Yeah, a typical styled team deathmatch could work pretty well for Gears, if perhaps only as a player match mode (would make weapon achievements and kill target achievements a little easy). The best thing about Annex was the ability to just get loads of kills without the risk of dieing and waiting for ages for the next round.

The thing with Annex was the loads of time of people not even going to the check points, but just trying to get kills. It got so boring after a while.
Team death match to the one similar to CoD4, right?

Yeah, something in that vein. And yeah, Annex will need some definite tweaking if it will work for the next game. I would prefer to see it scrapped altogether for a CTF gametype or similar.

I was on player with a guest and was against another player with a guest, We were pretty evenly matched so it was good fun but when loads of noobs come and and you need to kick them it's rather annoying. This noob: I think his name was ViralStream or something kept joining. It was rather annoying.
