Gears 2 most likely won't outsell Halo 3, but heck, there had better be a midnight release of this game, cause I'm gonna be there.

I'm defending it because it's not a fact. To say it's a fact is just ridiculous. It's your opinion that you've somehow come to. I've already listed several reasons as to why it's a fast paced game. You can certainly not go piss and still be alive. That's bull.

I really hate when people compare everything to Halo 3. I know it's popular and all but it's just really annoying to see it happen. Anyway, I think it will due to Gears' rising popularity and new fans. Although, does it really matter if it does?

Considering the time frame and such, I believe it could outsell Halo 3. It'll take some time, however. Halo 3...third game of the series, and Gears wasn't loved by everyone. But since this sequel is coming out a year later, I'm sure gamers would want a new game to play, and see what all the hype is about by buying Gears 2.

Like Aphex, however, I also hate comparisons with Halo 3. It does matter, tbh. Here you have a game that became huge with the first Xbox console, and people were sucked into the hype, like me, buying Halo 3. If a franchise like Gears can outsell it, well then Fenix could very well be 360's new face.

I agree with one of Nate's original posts when he said that Halo didn't deserve the rating it got.


Let's be honest here. The campaign was "good" at best, and the multiplayer fights are so ridiculous at times, that you could be half brain-dead and still get kills. It wasn't even close to a 9.5 rating with mediocre graphics for a 360 console and just an overall mediocre gameplay.

GoW2 could come close being as it's release is around the holiday season.

Considering the Halo series is now over, I think Marcus will probably become the 360's "mascot" regardless of whether or not the game outsells Halo 3. Gears 2 will still be huge. But as long as fans and new people alike enjoy the game, it doesn't much matter.

Gears 2 COULD outsell Halo 3, but it would take alot longer than expected to do so, probably wont get alot of sales on the first day but in 3 months, sure : D

No, I doubt it will. Halo's fan base is huge and the figures that set the bar upon its release look slightly out of reach.
