If it's about which game is better. Both Gears and Halo are beloved to me. I could not decide on a favorite. They both ROCK!

Gears positives: Awesome graphics. Gut wenching, chainsawing, torso splitting deaths. Moody gritty feel. Great cover system. Graphics worth mentioning a second time.

Gears negatives: Lag issues, lack of weapons, gametypes and a party system. Controlling you character is sometimes like guiding a semi-trailer through a crowded wear house.

Halo positives: Great online matchmaking, lobbies. HUGE social features/co-op/bnet/saved-films/fileshare, enough to keep it fresh for years. Far fetched, sci-fi, Warthog driving, sword weilding, flag capturing fun. Variety of game types, customizable games.

Halo negatives: Graphically inferior to Gears (for good reason). Somewhat dated game-play.

In my mind Halo is awesome but the sun is setting on the franchise in it's current incarnation. It has way more features and variety because it's on it's third game. It's a bit weird comparing the first game of one franchise to the final one in another. Gears is gearing up to innovate and will hopefully emerge as the premier shooter for and for me, eventually take Halo place in the generation beyond.

Both immensely enjoyable games and we should be lucky that games have gotten SO good that we arguing over the better game out of Gears and Halo.

Sorry, but it's really not, Halo is the best selling 360 title and there is no way that it is the best. Halo has a massive fanbase from the first two. The only reason I bought it was because all my friends had it.

Depends on how much they hype it up. Halo 3 sold (and is still selling a ridiculous amount of copies, but if Gears 2 plays it cards right, who knows.

Even HALO fan boys are closet GOW fans.

Question is, what game have you been playing?
Cant you see, in gears there is hiding and waiting for the round to be finished once you are dead. Hence it is slow paced. Fast paced multis are once in which you die and are back to life straight away.(Halo COD 4)

HELL NO.

If it turns out to be a better game (probably will) and people catch on then they will go out and buy it. Just because Halo sold a ton on it's first day doesn't mean Gears 2 can't outsell it over time.

WOW there is no way gears will outsell halo 3.
But beyond that gears may not even come out this year epic still hasnt come out with unreal for 360 yet and that was supposed to come out last year. Epic has a habit of push games back. Now about the which game is better thats been going on in this post. Both games werent that great I was not impressed with halo 3 the story wasnt even close to as good as 1 or 2 and the multiplayer maps suck. Now for gears well what can i say it was one of the worst games i have played the glitches are ridiculous never seen a game that poorly programed. I meen the locusts in the campaign crab walk and i dont know how many times i shot someone in the head with sniper and had it do nothing. Oh yeah and who ever said halo campaign was short compare 12-15 hours to 4-6 for gears my best on gears was 3 and a 1/2. So thats my piece.

I doubt that is even possible on Casual. I would say 6 hours average for casual. Halo is no way in hell 15 hours and mistake me if I am wrong but I had a quick search and the UT series and Gears of War didn't seem to be delayed.

Saying you compleded it in 3.5 hours proves you talk BS and your point is deminished.
