I just think there were alot of unbalances and stupid situations were you know you definately should have won a battle.

At least in Gears the only thing stopping you from winning a battle is bad aiming, or lag, or bad aiming because of lag. -_-

If by active, you mean active reloads, then I wouldn't call it an unbalance. Every player in the game has the same chance to get an active reload. The same cannot be said for lag or host issues.

Yeah that's basically what I meant, the only thing you can't control is the lag, while in Halo there's a shitty melee system and dumb weapons.

I don't see how it could outsell a power house like Halo. Plus, I enjoy Halo a lot more than Gears online. Gears had a fun multi-player campaign, but I can't stand playing it online. If anything this year has a chance at out-selling Halo 3, I'm gonna have to be biased and say Metal Gear Solid 4, though that's even doubtful, unfortunately.

Gears 2 will definitely outsell Halo. When Gears is complete as a trilogy, I would bet money that the Gears trilogy will outsell the Halo trilogy.

Gears is going to need a PR campaign that matches, or betters halos.

The commercial definitely gave fans excitement. To tell you the truth, I wasn't planning on getting the game until a while more until I started watching the trailers. I bet if Gears 2 does ever come across making a few of commercials, it'll get more fans hype.

Certainly. Halo is boring to me. I have played both games for enough time to see which one was better.

To be honest, Halo bored me. Gears of war had the best storyline to me.The online play was much better in my oppinion aswell.

There are more 360 owners that are buying more games. Basically the gaming market is growing so Gear 2 has a shot. Perhaps it is more likely that Gears 3 will outsell Halo 3.

In terms of the better game, I can't believe that I am one of the few that adores both. Gears is everything Halo isn't and vice versa. If you own both games you have a great diversity of gameplay experiences.

Gears is gloomy, ultra violent and 3rd person.
Halo is colorful, not violent and 1st person.

And to anyone who thinks the hit detection is good on Gears is delusional. I am a huge Gears fan and I think it sucks. Even with a good connection, sniper hits do jack. In Halo 3 (with a good connection) you snipe someone in the head they die. Simple.

I think both are amazing games.

Halo is far to over-rated . . and its such a easy game to play thats why there is so many players but when you get to gears it actually takes skill to play so halo will maybe out sell gears 2 but it will be such a better game.

While I agree with Milkenobi about Halo being gears opposite, I really think you'd be pushing it to say it might outsell halo. I am also a fan of both games, but I would take gears over halo any day of the week. With Halo being the colorful and not as violent game it pretty much has a bigger audience. With that said I think it would come down to the marketing. Halo went big with the third installment and not only commercials, but wide span advertising that linked it with many other companies such as Pepsi and Doritos. For Gears to pull this off they would at least match Halo's marketing campaign.
