Halo 3 is a great game, but way overrated. It sold well because of the hype, as many of us has stated above. Gears is a fantastic shooter. (we need more shooters like it in 3rd person view.)

I've never seen a game with more ads then Halo. I agree with you, their awesome. If they put ads of GAMEPLAY and not cinematics, I think Halo wouldn't have sold as much because it seems too much like Halo 2 campaign-wise. This time around, I think Gears may have a slim chance of outselling Halo..but I doubt it will.
