I'm sure we all know the Gears commercial, showing a dark, gloomy town, aliens all around Marcus, and the somber, peaceful song Mad World (Gary Jules) playing in the background. This commercial got me psyched for it's release.

I think what made it great was the huge contrast between the atmoshpere and music.
What should they do for there next commercial (there better be one) music wise, or whatever?

its ok for a first commercial, but doesnt wanna make me wanna by the game. The mad world one for the first one was way better... nontheless intriguing for such an anticipated yet mysterious game

Tbh, I loved the parts of Mad World that was in the commercial, but when I listened to the full song, I hated it.

A song they could pick is This one

And they could even use the chorus from This one

I was looking at this, I don't think the whole song fits, but from 2:10 to 3:10 might go well with gears.

I really doubt they'll choose LP. They're so overrated. :/

As for the commercial, I'm looking forward to one that shows you something important that will be happening in the game. Not the gameplay video, but a scenery of it (maybe it should involve with the brumak?). I'm pretty sure they'll think of something really interesting and put more anticipation towards fans.

Oh and sorry for not having a example of a song that could be used. Not really too well in choosing one. :/

that would be friggin wierd for gears... i mean the music is fine,... but what the people did in the video seems it would actually fit gow's style for a short commercial, tho it would be wierd seeing Marcus running in slo mo... good find

cuz the commercial makers for gears could probably make the style of the music vid for clubbed to death fit gears of war, although it would require some work
