I seriously need to know. I can do up to wave x9 (e.g. waves 1-9; waves 11-19 or waves 20-29 etc) by myself on CASUAL ONLY...But i can't get the x0 waves (like 10, 20, 30).

Has anyone beaten any map on casual on those waves by themselves? Or is it that I'm still not a very good player?

Any tips? So far I've been using bloodrun or Jacinto.

So far I've only managed to make it up to wave 4 on insane without dying.

What is it that's killing you?
One presumes it must be the bloodmounts.

Try it on day one, the ledge with the torque/sniper will help you out so much.

Personally I haven't played horde by myself because it's more fun with friends. I would recommend that you try security, hit the switch to deactivate the security field, run into the secure area and wait for the lasers to come on (killing any locusts who make their way up there). Once the field is up locusts can cross it without getting killed. They can and will turn the field off so make sure to keep an eye on area with the switch.

No you don't suck. You basically just need to have strategy on the X0 Waves only cause of such hard mobs. The Bloodmount is the problem most of the time. Just put a Boomshield in the floor on a small passage so the mobs can't pass, and you're basically set.

the multiple of 10s are hard because of the bloodmounts, me and some m8s did all 50 0n hardcore, annoyingly you still get the same achievment even if you do it on casual but it dragged it out for us a bit keepeing us entertained. anyways the best method on jacinto is to go where the nades are, sit at the bottom of the steps and defend it, hope a shielded guy comes and once he does kill him and plant the shield at the side of the sand bags, no big ones will be able to get to you now so just make sure no bolters or anything kick it down. pick people off from a safe distance.

if you get over run and the shields get kicked down you have a ledge you can hop over down the other steps to escape, its safe becuase its one way so they wont get you whilst your fighting at the other side.

this should work on level 10 casual but the bloodmounts are a lot to handle for 1 person on 20+

oh btw on the furthur levels try grab the torque bow, it is the only way you can 1 hit kill the boomers,troikers ect, full charge it and aim for the head, it goes straight through if you get a direct hit.

Thanks for all the tips and replies guys : ). Yea, it's those bloodmounts that are killing me, and me always running out of ammo!

There are so many of them and they just all gangrape me. I recently discovered the Lab map and found a room that has ammo in it, so I got close to beating wave 10...only 2 guys left but the mauler got me down and the bloodmount kicked my ass. Argh.

Oh yea...one other thing. I know the boomshield is really efficient but I can't for the life of me figure out how to plant it. Help? : )

1. Equip it.
2. Hold Left Trigger with it so you're aiming with your pistol.
3. Press A.
