Is Gears Of War 2 actually worth buying. Ive played Gears 1 and thought it was really good, but there are some mixed comments on this site about Gears 2. Is it generally a good game?

Rent it, then decide weather you want to buy it.
In my personal opinion, the campaign is only really the good aspect of this game, you want a multiplayer game, buy L4D, COD4 or the original Gears. -------------------  | |

I personally really like the game.Just borrow it off a mate or rent it as said and try it to see if you like it or not.

Campaign is awesome. Multiplayer, while it can be buggy and insanely laggy at times. Is still pretty damned good. I like the pacing a little better. I'd buy it, really. But the best thing to do is play it a a mates place and decide for yourself.

Horde with friends and campaign is the best reason to buy it. Multiplayer is pretty shitty. Horde is good fun, gets a bit boring after awhile though.

Fallout 3 and Fable 2 are not really comparable to Gears 2. Gears and Gears 2 are not roll playing games. Killzone is a PS3 only title, so no point suggesting unless you know they have a PS3. If you liked the first Gears then I would suggest getting it. It is a lot of fun and does have more depth than the first one.

Personally, I would buy it, got it yesterday, and think its fantastic, better than Gears 1, one of the best shooters ive ever bought, and the online is supreme. SuddenDeath -------------------  | |

Buy it if you liked GoW1. People only rant about it because they suck ass at this game. It is one of those games that you are either really sucky, or good.
