Post whatever news you can regarding Spore (Wii)!

well i only heard of this game and that its pretty good, but what is it about?

There is currently no news out for Spore Wii, Will Wright may have metion it being a possibility, but there hasnt been much media regarding spore Wii, yes the game is very good FOR PC! The other ports of the game will be very limited, some more then others, i suspect that the Wii will lack in size due to memory issues. But a water'd down version of a game is a small price to pay instead of spending crazy amounts of money for better computer upgrades to run this awesome game.But then again it is also a very large loss because the PC game has unlimited replayability due to all of its creators/planets/stages.

If you want more information regarding spore (you will probably only find information regarding the PC version) search YouTube/Good/any other major search engines for "Spore Will Wright"

Will actually announced it because the article i sent in made this forum. You can't just create a game forum without PROPER CONFIRMED proof that it is actually being made.

P.P.S.: I am in no way being mean here, or in no way claim that Spore Wii will never exist. (it might at some point in time) However, I find it peculiar you would not post it for everyone to read so we can all be overjoyed with the news.

The problem appears to be the lack of an Official statement from EA concerning the release of Spore on the Wii. Will Wright has said in a past article with Guardian Unlimited from Oct'07 that "We're doing Spore on the Wii, and we did MySims. It takes signifcant re-thinking to work out how you're going to do it. PS3 and Xbox 360 are similar enough that you can basically use the same system for both. So it comes down to what the interesting major platforms are and which markets we want to hit." -Source

Every website i've gone to looking to confirm Spore on the Wii just copy/pastes the statement from the Guardian article "We're doing Spore on the Wii" and then link back to GU. A Spore game for the iPhone has been confirmed by EA, Spore for PC and Mac have been confirmed by EA, and even a Spore DS game has been confirmed by EA but strangely a Wii version has not been officially confirmed.

An article from Nintendic from Feb'08 states "Worryingly, there was no mention of the Nintendo Wii version in the latest official detailing, but a recent interview with Wright reassures us that it is still in the pipeline." -Source

So, the question remains is there a Wii version in the making or is this just wishful thinking on the part of Will Wright? Hopefully someone can provide us with an article with an official statement because i want there to be a Spore on the Wii.

Well THIS forum was made some time ago and I REALLY favourited/remembered the URL!

It is also confirmed on sporeuniverse.net waaayyy far down because it was announced about 2 months ago... do any of you actually use google to look for info?

check the latest official nintendo magazine it has pictures and stuff of spore hero
