I'm going to buy another Xbox game and this is on my list of choices, is this game worth it?

I just bought this game today, and I haven't played it yet, hopefully before I come in tommorrow night. If you have a Circuit City near you, you get a $10 gift card instantly with purchase! Ends this week though. A couple friends of mine love this game already, having only owned it for a couple days. Reviews are high as well, around 9's.

I usually buy consoles that i might want when they first come out but i waited until they releases Panzer Dragoon Orta first if that gives u any indication as to how good the game is. I have the other 3 games on Saturn and PD Orta was the only game that made me run out and get an Xbox. Now it's time for me to pick up Halo and see what all the fuss is about. hehe I'll wait for Splinter Cell on PC though...

This game is a step backwards from Panzer-Saga I have played it and to tell you the truth I was looking for better story then just another arcade game, it really annoyed me they took longer to release this game due to the main website for this game, stating the maker of the game wanted to make sure the story was as grand as saga, and the controls of this game are very hard to control at times I have played and LOVE all the games made for Panzer till I came to this game.... well sadly I think this game is only worth 9.99 give it 2 weeks and it probally will be out for that price, I must say after I played this game I had more of an want to get out my old saturn and play those more then this panzer... Sorry everyone but I don't Like this one I am forcing myself to play this just to see the ending I hope it to be good and conect the ending of saga to this one.

To say it is worth $9.99 is folly. That is an inaccurate, and unfair statement. Just to see the beautiful backgrounds in the game is worth $9.99. I also question your statement regarding the story. Although I do agree a good story makes for a good game, how often does one buy an arcade style game for the story? Not too often. If you want plot, try a good RPG or Melat Gear game.

Pay no attention to the depressed Panzer Dragoon Saga player above me.This is the greatest rail shooter of all time!!For the record besides this game and the other 2 railshooting games in this series Railshooters have never had a plot!!The main plot of a shooter is to blow shit up!!For a Railshooter this has a fantasic plot!As with the other 2 shooters you play a young confused antihero who not only suddenly finds themselves riding a dragon but also about to takeon large Biocreations from a destroyed civilization and quite unfortunately blast the present civilization back to the stoneage.Since your caught in the middle of everything you naturally end up fighting everyone which is what lured me to the game.I didnt ever get to play the Panzer RPG but I do know it is a completly different game.It was a story driven RPG.Even if you did play it and are sad and whiney like the gamer above you should buy orta anyway.Sega says that if game sales are good the next Panzer Dragoon will be an RPG.So BUY BUY BUY!!!!!!!

Having played this game now, finally, I must say, it's AWESOME! Kudos to Sega. The more I play this game, the more I love it. I even restarted the game before I finished it, to try some of the alternative courses out! It's great and if you don't have the money to buy it, or really aren't a fan of shooters, then you must, in the lease rent it. This is a must play game.

Yo, no offense to norrune, but if you want a good story, then why don't you go buy a movie instead of a game? Anyways, I don't have this game yet, but after seeing what you guys wrote down, I'm thinking of buying it. I hope it's as good as everyone says.

Personally I disagree with most of the people on here. I have never played any of the original panzer dragoon's, so I'm not really into it, but IMO this game blows. If it were released on snes or even ps one it would be awesome. But released on xbox, this game is a huge waste of potential. Aside from the awesome graphics(which if you havent noticed are in just about every xbox game) this game blows. It's like gallactica for nes, only with good graphics.

You can fly the Base Wing. It is the average type of dragon that is capable of the glide move (stop on a dime, or burst forward), locking plasma missles, and Orta can use her rapid fire pistol.

There is the Heavy Wing. This is an offensive dragon type that is capable of locking plasma missles (stronger than the Base Wing) and Orta can use her rapid fire pistol. Not capable of the glide move.

Then there is the Glide Wing. This is the defensive dragon type. It is much faster than the rest and can do an improved glide move, and Orta can use her rapid fire pistol. But it differs from the others, you don't have to continuously tap the 'A' button for her rapid fire pistol, you can simply just hold 'A'. However the Glide Wing is not capable of locking plasma missles.

Yes! This game is incredible in my opinion. I bought this game about a month and a half ago and it is still just as fun as it was when I got it! The graphics are excellent and the gameplay is great. It has a very interesting story and such. If you don't like on-rail shooters, don't get this game though. I do like them, so I would definitely recommend this game to you.
