just played my first ever online matches on PES wii, they were both great games

Liverpool [me] 4-4 AC Milan

They deserved to win but Whilst 3-1 down Ryan Babel bagged a brace. Highlight of the moment was Dirk Kuyt breaking through and shooting only for their keeper to come out, and the ball hit him and looped into the air just out the penalty box, gerrard headed it towards goal, it bounced down off the crossbar onto the line, there keeper tried to get back but Babel beat him to the ball and hammered it home

Chelsea 3-3 Juventus [me]

I was playing really really well, went 2-0 due to some class goals but Wright Phillips was causing havoc and once he was one on one about to score I had to commit a cynical foul and Boumsong was sent off, they scored the penalty and despite me continuing to dominate my defence had a gaping hole in it, which I couldnt be arsed to mess about with tactics so the match finished 3-3

Bloody hell i hope all online games are that exciting, good work!

I will get online once i have completed my Ajax Champions road campaign. Any sign of lag online?

Just had another epic match :

Valencia [me] 3-2 Man Utd

First half started pretty even but as i was about to make a clearance in my box i lost the target thing for passing so Rooney tackled Albiol and shot, Canizares saved but parried and Moretti failed to clear again and let Rooney pass the ball into the open net. Mistakes were pissing me off, so I moved the sensor bar closer and that seemed to work but as I was piling on the pressure United countered and again Rooney knocked it into the corner on a one on one situation. 2-0 down, half time. Was determined to come back, almost straight away a long ball sent David Villa through who made no mistake. I was dominating the second half but couldn't quite get the ball into the box. Ferdinand was playing great but a few minutes passed before a Wes Brown mistake led to Morientes being one on one, he brought his keeper out and I thought I may have overran it but just as Van Der Sar stretched for the ball Morientes let leash, squaring the game 2-2. With only 20 minutes left, Morientes was played through by a great ball by Joaquin and just as the ball was heading for the top corner Van Der Sar made a fantastic save. I thought that was it and we were going to get a draw, which could have been a fair result. But with 2 minutes left on the clock, Fernando Morientes picked up the ball on the half way line, rolled back the years by dribbling past 4 players on a mesmerising run before slotting the ball into the net. 3-2 Valencia !!

i just played my first online match, newcastle 1:3 villa(me).

it looked like the other guy knew what he was doing more than me, but i kept getting lucky breaks (i think- i find it hard to believe i'm any good considering i still don't know what half the controls are!)

am i right in thinking the only online play, unless paying friends, is friendly matches, ie- no leagues like the xbox 360 version?

edit: just had my biggest win so far. england 1:10 england (me). I was 10-0 up with about 5 mins to go, then their terry lobbed my robinson from near the half way line! i just can't keep a clean sheet! haven't played a game yet with less than 3 goals, and the only time a team hasn't scored was when i was bayern munich and lost 4-0 to barca
