Over here in The U.K. the game is marketed and sold as Project zero, not fatal frames, the cover and game are identical in all other respects. I was wondereing if anyone knows why the game is going under differing names? presumable its due to country/region of purchase, I even read that its called Rei Zero in some locations. Can Anyone enlighten me?

Japan > Zero
US > Fatal Frame
UK/Europe > Project Zero

It was called Project Zero because of Advertising. But I think honestly in the European version there was a translation Error, because Project Zero is also the name of the Developement team that created the Fatal Frame series. (Like Team Ninja created DOA)

It actually happens a lot with video games being renamed based on region and advertising (and sometimes it also has to do with copyright issues) For example, Resident Evil in Japan is called Biohazard.

mines is project zero (in uk) but i have noticed when lookin on ebay that a lot of the covers are totally different! i have seen three covers for project zero 2. quite confusing!
