I'm Curt, and I'm always a sucker for a good spy movie/programme. This looks kind of like an amalgamation of Alias and the Bourne movies, so unless the reviews say they totally screw up the execution I'm pretty much sold.

HOW IS THIS GAME NOT MORE POPULAR? it looks incredible, i am a sucker for a game where i control the outcome. the fact that you play as a spy is awesome.

I saw a trailer for the game recently and I definitely like the concept. Hope they can pull it off well.

Because it's by Obsidian. Not only are they not a very well known studio, what they are known for is taking a franchise that another studio has left (typically BioWare) and releasing lackluster sequels: KOTOR II, Icewind Dale, Neverwinter 2, etc.

Furthermore, the game is rife with as many sketchy ideas as solid ones. The premise of a RPG based on Bourne, Bond, and Bauer is good, but the fact that it's never been done before raise questions as to whether Obsidian is up to it.

Likewise, the Dynamic Stance System sounds good on paper but the fact that you have to decide how to respond before the person is done talking has raised my skepticism.

Lastly, the voice acting in the videos they've released sounds like the actors all phoned it in. None of them seem to exhibit any emotion, least of all the main character. I grow tired of the apparent assumption that male leads must be completely devoid of character. If you want to see what I mean, compare the Male and Female voice actors for Shepard in Mass Effect.


Anyway, this is the Intro thread so... I'm Krantos, and while I'm skeptical of the game, I admit that it's mostly because I don't want to be disappointed, because in all honesty I'm really excited for it.
