If anyone knows how to beat Li-Grim with a few somewhat weak characters; I NEED YOU!

Ive tried [not being a drama queen here] to beat her more than 20 times and I still havent gotten past. I know what the problem is; I didnt get a chance to train before I went into battle. Now when I open my saved file Im stuck in Ambervale and always have to engage. Im pretty much stuck with my little weaklings. Llednar isnt a problem and when I go up against Queen Remidi its easy but Li-Grim always kicks the ever-lovin crap outta me. [Magi or Descent] The clan member with the lowest level is at 22. Highest 27. Ive changed weapons jobs abilities and I still cant get past.
Any ooober awesome tricks I can use before I throw my DS across my room??

Maybe I could get two problems solved in one.
In my other file Ive done 295 of the missions but I cant get any new ones. The pub always has the same old things Ive beaten before. I might have thrown some items out, though I dont think I did, and I might not have set the map up right. Does anyone have a screenshot of what it should be? And,am I going to have to start this one all over again?

Any help for either of these problems would be greatly appreciated

Okey first for Li-grim, Does any of your characters know double sword? lets you equip 2 swords. that doubles your attack, with double sword and high level characters i had to hold back on Li-grim just to make it interesting Assasins are pretty good, its not too important to take care of the totemas, but if you've got an illusionist or any spare characters it doesnt hurt to deal them some damage and get them out the way. Just try and concentrate everything you've got on Li-Grim, she can be quite a challenge the first time round other than that, i cant remember if theres any way to flee or cancel the battle could be worth a try, so you can go get some more training in. But basically just go all out on Li-grim. sorry if thats not much help.

and the map thing, theres no right way to arrange the map; it doesnt affect missions. The only thing it affects is the items you get from the treasure hunt, putting same sort of icons next to each other gets good items, and i think four citys with a forest in the middle gets you a ribbon, cant remember exactly. stuff like that, just experiment and see what you get, its mainly about personal preference and where you wanna see em the problem with the missions is you might of thrown away an exclusive mission item like a blood apple or something. The only way to move forward is either trade with someone, or if no-ones got the game, start a new game. i hope theres some small bit of wisdom in there somewhere cool cat

Sadly, I dont know double sword. And I havent gotten to the point of having ninjas/assassins or even illusionists. Which is why Im so behind and having so much trouble. But Ill see if using a few mages with totemas will work.
Random question does something like the move 'warcry' work on Li-Grim? Can she be slowed down or is she one of those characters?

And thanks for the map help =) I dont remember every throwing out a blood apple but my game has been know to do stupid things.

no worries It might not of been a blood apple, it could of been any mission item that you cant get again - things like materite, admantite and stuff like that you can get as many as you want of, cos the missions keep re-appearing, but certain missions and items you cant get more than once or a set number of times, so if you throw one away by accident, it might stop you being able to carry on with missions. Before that though, just check every town and pub, and let a few months in game pass. Sometimes there's just a bit of a drought for new missions. And yeh i think Li-grim is one of THOSE characters i dont use much status moves though, so give it a try and see if it works keep trying with Li-grim, I was in the same sort of situation when i first fighted her, its not impossible you can do it WOOOOH!!!

you're very welcome i just hope you managed to make some sort of sense out of all that If you really get stuck though, it's like anything, just shelf it for a while and forget about it, then come back to it with a fresh mind and start again.

he prety much covered the doublesword but if you cant learn it learn cocentrate(archer support ability)that way your attacks always hit.

One: I didnt really train either but i used a summoner and a couple dragoons to kick ligrims butt.

Anyway, if you can, before the battle, equip the strongest weapons you can. it will help alot.

im not sure but i think excaliber works very well.

also, move around alot, change the mounth. thats how i always get new missions.

every mounth is 30 days.
