Things that made me mad comparing to FFT (PSX).

Okay guys. I wanted to share this with you all

First One:
Characters status remain the same when job-changing. I wanted to have Marche with High speed, and I really can't. This also makes it useless when using Assassins, as their main aim is for speed, and if you have one that has been an Archer, meaning she didn't join your clan as an Assassin, comparing to enemies Assassins, she is terrible due to low speed.

Second One:
Where the hell are the shields? You equip them, but they never use them! I once thought it was because shields have low evasion like 2, 4...10 maybe..but it isn't! A character always blocks an attack by evading it. You can't even call it block..

Third One:
Immune to laws? Lots of enemies, mainly clan leaders, and special Bosses are immune to any law...That is so unfair. The game should be fair for all. I hate that.

Fourth One:
The shop...You remain with the same items for...uh...always? Only very later you get the star armlet..bracers...but that's really all. You must rely on jobs for items.

Okay...that's all for now..

re: Things that made me mad comparing to FFT (PSX).

I aint played the original FF tactics (so that makes my comments a bit useless ) but i seen videos and the like of it, looked good. Looked like the game and story was more in-depth. i like the customizing of the clan with the different races in ffta, so i didnt like the fact that there's only humes in the original (plus a few secret characters like that weird robot ) but i think with all the job variety and tone of the game, JUST humes is actually be better. FFTA felt like it was dumbed down a bit, little bit more of a kid's game. It's still a awesome game though. still havent got FFTA2 yet from sounds of things thats awesome as well though.

But there are still more jobs, you know? Not only there are common jobs like: Samurai, Bard, Dancer; as there are special jobs Like Holy Knight, Heaven Knight...

re: Things that made me mad comparing to FFT (PSX).

Yeh there's so many jobs and variety in FFT that i dont think it really matters anyway. I just dont think i could cope with not seeing moogles swinging swords though. One thing that's annoying in FFTA is if you dont check the laws you can get a red card without even realizing and I hate the stat reduction fine. dont care if its a money fine but when you lose stats or rare items thats not cooooool. yeh the shops were a bit crappy too. But i think they're there just to top up on general accesories and potions and stuff rather than relying on them for all the equipment. So is FFT a long-lasting game? would you reccomend it? i might get it.

(ppppppppsssssst PSST hows the FF8 wiki? i added some stuff )

thats easy to fix

I actually heard of FFT after i got FFTA. i might have to get it see what its like it must be awesome if you reccomment it The big thing about FFTA that dissapointed me though is that you cant walk around and investigate and talk to people, which is a big part of FF games. I spose its cos its a tactics game. the hints in the name

whys this forum so dead? there's gotta be more then 3 people who still play ffta
