Yeah you can, thats how I did it. Try it on the earlier ranked festival races and you shouldn't have a problem. It'd be virtually impossible to achieve online......

thnx i got it. but what about the barrel roll trophy, how do i get that?

Well I got that one without even trying....I was on Caldera Ridge, in a buggy, and I jumped off the steep drop to the right just after the start/finish line and rolled it all the way down. You need some luck but it should be achieveable if you try this method, I don't know where else it would work as most tracks don't have a nice flat downhill area where you can barrel roll numerous times. Don't reset your vehicle if your rolling too. Just let it come to a rest.

I landed on two wheels then tipped over and the momentum I was carrying rolled me a further 5 or 6 times. It was a spectacular crash then the trophy popped up!!

No problem man.....I'm currently trying to get the 'Champion' trophy which requires all golds on the festival races and the 'Hire Me' trophy where you have to beat all the developers ghost cars. Its a challenge......

yea me too it certainly is a challenge, its gona take aloooonnnnng long time to complete, havent mananged to do the barrel roll yet tho im sure on many occasions i av come close to achiveing it.
lol id love to get the dump truck but i think the only way u can win that is by gettin every single trophy..

I was a bit perplexed about the dump truck as I've completed everything but the hire me trophy (and split screen trophy). I thought I would have got it for getting all golds in festival mode or reaching legend rank in online races, but surprisingly I wasn't rewarded with anything for either occasion.

BTW, you weren't too bad in those few races we had the other night Way2fast10 (Lewis_Hamilton and Jenson_Button in case you were wondering)

for the barrel roll i just did what paulie said and got it on my first try. the only trophies im worried about are the two of getting hero and legend status online. ppl online are WAY harder than the AI will ever be

I don't actually think that's strictly true. As long as you learn what the quickest route and vehicle combinations are and manage to pull them off well, you'll be fine online. Only rarely is a race online actually clean, where no one crashes and everybody knows the best routes, how to use the boost to full potential or how to handle corners, bumps and jumps the most efficiently.

By contrast, the AI is cheap and cheats. In rank 7 and 8 of festival mode, even when you perform a lap time that would score in the top 10 of the world leader boards, the AI is always right on your tail for the duration of the race, and will take any opportunity whatsoever to kamikaze against your vehicle and take you out rather than actually overtake you. Even if you only make a small error, chances are you'll drop from 1st down to 10th in an instant, and this is because the AI is 'rubber banded'.

I've got that cheating theory recorded on to video as well. It was on one of the rank 8 races on Paradise Beach. I chose the bike for this track, which has the fastest acceleration of any vehicle from the start line. As soon as the race started, two big rigs - being by far the slowest vehicle away from the start line - rocketed in front of me and disappeared off screen in to the distance before I had even got to the first corner.

yea i hate the fact that the ai are rubber banded, even on easy mode they still manage to keep up even if u do a lap quiker than the speed of light.. like the other night id tryed to see if it was possible to lap the ai on easiest on free mode around the shortest track which i think is riptide, i did it as a 10 lap race, got no wer near lapping them even tho i made literally no mistakes, and they finished not long after i did......
though having said all that i stil love this game lol

hey thanks yea i think im gettin alot better at this game.. escpecially with the big rig, though i still av trouble keepin up with you lol.

try mudslide with a monster trunk and against bikes. you should pass em' then.
