Longswords arent really noob weapons. They are just preferred because they are easier to use.
And theres no weapon designated for each monster, its whatever you like to use. If you want specifics then Hammers can be used for ALMOST any monster, Gunlances are great for akantor. Etc. | |

LS's are a multi-purpose weapon..
The only things i prefer NOT to LS, are Kirin, gaoren, and plesioth. | |
