I just got a PSP GO! I saw this game seemed quite good but what weapon should I use first

It depends. A newbie friendly weapon is the longsword, or try a hammer. It's your own style of playing.

yes, welcome. and i would say either a short sword or a long sword. if you can master the long sword early on, it will help you greatly later in the game.

A sword and sheild is a great choice because of block and eating ability but if you get the longsword down your are good to go.

Good luck with the camera seeing as you won't be able to perform the infamous C-grip with your fingers.

Enjoy it though man, it's a great game with hours of gameplay.

And nothing beats starting with a Great Sword, Dante provides great reasons behind using it. Long swords are good, but there are only a few options for em in my opinion.

You will find your style, it's unique to all of us. It beats any experience bar in any other RPG. Nothing beats a game with an experience bar that determine's YOUR skill.

Greatsword For the WIN!

I'll have to say either the Sword and Shield or the Longsword,they're the easiest weapon type to use

Of course,if you're comfortable with another weapon type other than the "Newbie" ones(Short swords and Longswords)
Then by all means use that Weapon

i find the longsword my weapon of choice but before that i had the shortsword which then turned into the gunlance after a battle with a tigrex i changed to a longsword

Try all of the weapons. Go to the training school and do multiple weapon training. See what you like the feel of the most.

It's a horrible question to ask, as different people have different preferences. You can't just say, "this" is a good beginner weapon, as you personally might not pick it up well at all.

The weapons are extremely well balanced - it's down to how you use them and what weapon bests suits YOUR hunting style.

If you'd like, I can go over the pros and cons quickly of each weapon.
