Virus

Hi,

I start playing RE: Outbreak. But I got killed by the infection. At the beginning of the game i've got bitten.

The percentage of infection keeps rising. How can I stop the further infection? Are there any cures? Herbs and aid sprays dont help!

Thx!!

Cheers

re: Virus

Well, during the course of the level it continues to rise "slowly". See this as you're poisoned permanently thus constantly losing life. This is more so your "real" health bar because once it's full. It's game over. If you're attacked and your in the Danger zone. You'll be knocked to the floor causing the bar to rise rapidly until someone comes to pick you up. The only way to stop the virus meter to stop rising is to use Herbs which stunts it temporarily. (I think). It's been awhile since I played so I think that's the only way to stop it, "Temporarily" of course. I think in the last level there is a story element, where you make a cure. (if I remember correctly)

in the online Mode you would turn into a zombie for a period of time, until a cutscene played, walked out of a set zone or you were killed. The online mode was much better since "most" of the time the real players were smarter than computer players plus that's when the gameplay really shines. In offline mode it has this weird incomplete feel to it.

re: Virus

WRONG.

There is a cure in the last level. You have to create a certain substance using a machine. It either works as a cure, or a weapon to use against the final boss.

re: Virus

Yeah but its very helpful that the cure is at the end of the last level....very helpful. The best thing to do is be quick. There should be enough time for each level even if you are pretty slow. There is something that will temporarily stop the virus. It looks like a tablet and comes in small and large sizes, cant remember what it is called.

re: Virus

Antiviral pills, I believe.

Also, herbs seem to work but not as well as the pills.

re: Virus

Thats it....thanks for that. On the menu its called "Antivirus (*)" The * is for the S or L meaning small or large.

Do herbs work? I thought they didn't.

re: Virus

Using a herb seemed to freeze the virus gauge for a short time, though I may have imagined it. Maybe it was a blue herb...
