Spamming isn't just posting a one liner (or a 'one-smiley', whatever), it can mean a variety of things. If the post has no purpose, or it's content can't be justified, then it is spam. Please, don't go about posting topics for no reason - ESPECIALLY if there is another thread which could easily suit the purpose, even if someone is just asking 'dis game gud?' or whatever.

Insults from members directed at others are not only unacceptable here, but it can also hurt the person involved. Or worse, it could make them feel the need to retaliate. I don't care if he started it, just don't act back. Simply report the post which is flaming someone. And I'll deal with it soon enough. I don't have a problem when people just joke around, but it gets too out of hand then I am killing it there.

There is a huge difference in my opinion, between helping a moderator and trying to be one. We have been appointed for a reason, so you don't need to act like one. That's basically what memberating is, and no one likes it. This includes Requesting Thread Closure and telling others what to do (to a certain extent). However, I will allow links to be posted if there's a duplicated thread; it makes our job a little easier. Be nice about it though. I don't want you making someone feel stupid because they made a duplicate thread.

You know what advertising is, right? Basically, I don't want you to post a link to your forums or your websites. That's what the Profile, Custom Title, Signature and NeoHome is for. I'm not trying to be mean about this, but it applies to all the forums on Neoseeker. It's not allowed, nor will it stay there after being posted. I will edit your posts and remove the link(s). I also feel it is my duty to warn you all members linking to *snip* any other type of referral site will lose posting rights on their account permanently . Which is also in the Forumwide Rules.

It may be a long shot for some ideas, but if you have an idea either PM a moderator or 'suggest' it in the appropriate thread - this option is prefered as it lets the rest of the community discuss it as well.

This isn't always double posting, but more than one in a row anyway. I only want to see this happening if you absolutely need to post once again. If you're desperate to post some new information, but the thread you want to post in is at the top of the forum and you're the last member to reply, then just simply edit it. However, if you have to go past a few pages to find the thread only to realize you were the last to post, just make a new post. I may merge them together after someone else replies though. If it is a forum bug or if you post the same thing twice by mistake then doesn’t worry, I'm talking about people who bump up a thread to get replies for no real reason.

I'll try not to ban many people, but if they have to be handed a ban then I will do so. Please stick with it though, don't bypass the ban by posting as a guest, on a new account, or on one of your previous accounts. I can find out that you are them and you’d be surprised how much powers us moderators have. So don't think you can get away with it. Bypassing a ban is a serious offence, and a super-moderator may have to be contacted.

The search feature is currently inactive at the moment; however please check the index to see if a thread is already made, before creating one of your own. This is a big forum with many forums, so chances are, a discussion is already going around about it. I will close the duplicates, and no punishment will be handed out. However if you continually do it with threads listed in the Thread Index after a few warnings, you'll be taking a short leave from the forum. It's a minor offence, but I want all the rules obeyed.

This basically falls under the flaming category. I myself don’t mind some words, this is wrestling and most of us are mature. But when it is taken to another level of abusing it or bypassing filter, action must be taken.

Spoilers are a pain to read if you don't want to. I myself can stand spoilers, but others hate it so please refrain from posting any RAW, Smackdown!, ECW, PPV, or any other form of spoilers in this forum. Members in the United Kingdom don't get either show for a few days after Americans do (unless they stay up into the early morning on a Monday) so don't post any please. It's not necessary; there is a wrestling forum on Neoseeker.

Discussion on the above is not allowed here. If you're wanting some sort of wrestling Game ROM for the SNES or any other console (which would also fall under spam, as this isn't really related to WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2009), then I suggest you go elsewhere, it's not allowed on Neoseeker. It's recommended that you buy your software legally anyway.

The report feature is there to flag posts with inappropriate material in them, so the mods can see them, and make any edits or deletions. The report feature is not a toy to use to flame someone, because we can see who is reporting the posts and you will be banned if you abuse the feature. However, if a thread is completely filled with spam, simply report the first post and leave the rest of the thread as is, otherwise you're making more work for us. We know what spam is and what isn't, you don't need to show us, if isolated posts in a thread are spam, report them, but use the feature sparingly.

The act of 'bumping' a thread is to reply to a thread that hasn't been replied to in a long time, and then by replying, pushing it back up to the front page of the forum. Often, chances are that if it hasn't been replied to in several months, there's not much discussion value in it. Only bump threads if it's to avoid creating a duplicate, such as if you wanted to talk about how bad the commentary was, but there was an old thread in the index all ready about it. If there's still discussion value left in a topic, which has just drifted to the back of the forum; it can be bumped. However, if someone created a thread in August 2005 asking when the game is going to come out, and you reply to it months later saying something stupid like 'itz already out' - that is spamming, and will not be tolerated.

There's just no need for it, thus anyone who insults my wife in any way - will be removed from the internet. Seriously.

If a member has broken a rule or is on a spamming rampage, then please use the links below to NeoPM either of us straight away. If we're not online and it's a very serious offence then contact either the Section Moderator or a Super Moderator. Always check if we're online or not beforehand though. It has to be serious as well, we don't want to bother them with petty things like one spam post or a duplicated thread. Just report it please. Also, don’t PM us saying to ban a member, we will deal with the members as we see fit. With that said, feel free to contact us with any questions.
