WRESTLEMANIA XXV! - WEEK THIRTEEN
The Grandest Stage Of Them All
Randy Orton & Curt Hawkins vs. CM Punk & The Brian Kendrick Curt starts off the action with a big clothesline on Kendrick, also accidentally knocking the ref down. He then goes to roll up Punk, but the ref is still down. Kendrick whips Randy in to the corner, and hits a spring-board dropkick on him. Randy recovers and starts punching Kendrick as Curt and Punk are fighting. Punk knocks Randy over the top rope, and goes out to continue attacking him. Curt throws Kendrick in to the corner and spears him. Kendrick knocks Curt out and goes out with him, all 4 men are out. Randy drop Punk face first on the crowd barrier. All 4 men make their way back in to the ring. Curt slams Kendrick, then hits his catapult suplex finisher thing on him. Kendrick recovers and hits Randy with a kick to the back of the head. Randy also recovers, DDTs Kendrick, and uses his signature stomps on him. He goes for a cover, but is countered with a possum pin, getting 2. Punk and Curt are outside of the ring and Punk hits a suplex on Curt. Curt gets back in the ring, and hits his suplex finisher on Kendrick again. Punk and Randing are trading strikes outside. Curt keeps working on Kendrick, and hits a clothesline. Kendrick fights back with a dropkick. Punk comes in to help and hits Curt with a suplex and a hurricarana. Randy gets Kendrick of guard and hits a DDT, making him bleed. He starts stalking his prey... RKO! Curt powerslams Punk, and at the same time Randy covers Kendrick, and gets the 3. The Benjamin Steamboat gain a confident win in the opening contest of Wrestlemania. Backstage... Shawn Michaels walks past Big Daddy V's locker room, but stops and looks inside. He then walks in. The cameras show BDV stuffing his face with cake "What are you doing man!?" "Warming up of course..." "For the Hardcore Match?" "Hell no man, I've asked management to put me in the Pie eating contest, no way would I miss out that opportunity." 0_0 "Okay then." "Good luck in Money in the Bank Shawn." "Thanks..." Champion vs. Champion -- Singles Match Jeff Hardy vs. Festus The Cruiserweight and United States Champions enter the ring, and the bell goes, setting Festus off. Jeff acts quick, and knocks the big man down and dropkicks him in the back of the head. Festus isn't worried though, he hits a massive clothesline on Hardy, stomps him hard, then slaps him hard on the back. Jeff tries to quicken the pace and hits a neckbreaker. Festus gets up and throws Jeff across the ring before running at him with a shoulder tackle. Festus is tired. He decides to sit on Hardy. After, he lifts him up and hits a Flapjack, he goes for the pin and gets 2. Festus hits a pumphandle slam on Jeff, then a back breaker. Jeff manages to execute another neck breaker, then a head scissors. Jeff is hit by a neckbreaker of his own, then Festus hits yet another Flapjack. He decides not to go for a pin. He DDTs, pumpehandle slams and Flapjacks Jeff again. This time he goes for a cover, but amazingly only gets 2. Jeff hits a jaw breaker and a bulldog on Festus before being knocked down with a shoulder tackle. Festus throws Jeff again and hits a Flapack. This time he gets 3. The US Champ gets the victory. Hardcore Championship Match -- Fatal 4 Way Extreme Rules Triple H vs. Mr Kennedy vs. Umaga vs. Shad Triple H, Mr Kennedy, Umaga and Shad are announced as the 4 men competing for the Hardcore championship, they come to the ring with little preparation. The match starts and Kennedy hits a suplex on Shad, and HHH cloetheslines Umaga. The E-C-Dub chants are echoing through the arena. Shad hits a spinout powerbomb on Kennedy. Umaga hits a few strikes on each of the other men before being suplexed by Shad. Umaga gets up and is slapped by Kennedy, Shad then throws him out of the ring. Suddenly all the men go out of the ring. HHH grabs a ladder, Shad grabs a table, Kennedy grabs a barbwire 2x4 and Umaga grabs a chair. Umaga starts the extreme action with a chair shot to HHH, HHH grabs the Chair off Umaga and hits Shad and Kennedy down. Umaga grabs the ladder and rams HHH and Shad with it. Kennedy gets HHH with a chair shot, Umaga gets Shad with the ladder again. HHH spears Umaga, and grabs the title belt from next to the announce tables. Umaga hits a devastating Samoan drop on Kennedy. HHH slides in to the ring and hits Shad with the belt. Shad gets up and DDTs HHH. Kennedy executes a possum pin on Umaga and gets 2. A few moves are traded, and Umaga gets Kennedy in the corner. He takes a run up and snaps his head back with a running butt thing. Shad hits his finishing slam on HHH. Kennedy possum pins Umaga again and gets 2. He then possum pins Shad and gets 1. Shad hits a gutbuster on Kennedy. Shad rolls Kennedy inside the ladder and bashes him with it. Umaga hits a Samoan spike on HHH out of nowhere! Kennedy quickly breaks the pin up at 2. Ken DDTs HHH before turning around to be hit in the face by the title from Umaga, who then also hits Shad. Umaga hits the running corner butt slam to Kennedy again and goes for a cover whilst HHH hits snake eyes on Shad. Umaga gets 3 and becomes the first Hardcore Champion! 5 Man Pie Eating Contest Zack Ryder, Jimmy Wang Yang, The Miz, JTG and Big Daddy V sit down at a table in the middle of the ring. The pies are put in front of each man. The bell goes, and BDV shoves all his pies in his mouth before devouring everyone else's pies as well, and winning the contest. Jimmy Wang Yang complains to him that he was hungry, and is Samoan dropped through the table. All the men leave te ring and it is cleaned up for the next match. WWE Tag Team Championship Match -- Tag Team Match Shelton Benjamin & Jesse vs. Great Khali & Paul London Shelton and Khali start in the ring. Khali pushes Shelton in to the corner, and knees + elbows him. For a few minutes, they trade counters, before Jesse distracts Khali, and Shelton knocks him down. Khali gets up and DDTs Shelton. He lifts him up again and throws him across the ring. He goes to pick Shelton up again, but he eye rakes him, and Shelton hits a leg sweep on Khali. Jesse is tagged in, and Khali gets him in the corner and hits a series of chops. Jesse hits Khali with a neckbreaker and a kick to the head. Jesse gets Khali in the corner and hits a monkey flip, vibrating the arena. Jesse goes for a cover and gets 1. Khali pushes Jesse off him and tags London in. Jesse rolls him up and gets 1. London reacts by DDTing Jesse. Jesse gets up and knocks London out of the ring. He comes back in, and Khali grabs Jesse, allowing him to knee him in the gut. London slams Jesse, then lifts him on the turnbuckle and hits a hurricarana. Jesse fights back with a neckbreaker, and tags Shelton in. London hits an inverted DDT on him, then goes for a forearm to the face but Shelton dodges and he instead hits his partner Khali. He goes for some more forearms and connects. Shelton stops his momentum with a kick to the face, then a knee to the face. Shelton tags in Jesse. London (hot)tags in Khali! He knocks Shelton to the outside and hits a Khali bomb on Jesse! He goes for a cover but is possum pinned! Jesse gets 2. Jesse gets up quickly and hits a German suplex on Khali. Jesse clotheslines Khali out of the ring. Jesse starts pumping the crowd up, and they boo. Khali comes in at 2, and Jesse tags Shelton in. He hits a flying spinning elbow on Khali, who then hits Shelton with a backbreaker. Shelton (hot)tags in Jesse who knocks London off the turnbuckle, before hitting a standing Greenbay plunge. He covers Khali, and gets the 3. Jesse and Shelton are still tag team champs. Money in the Bank -- 6 Man Ladder Match Edge vs. John Morrison vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. MVP vs. Santino Marella vs. Shawn Michaels Edge comes to the ring first with Morrison. They look very happy. Morrison walks around to the announce table and Edge throws a ladder in the ring. How strange. Edge sets the ladder up, and Morrison rings the bell. Edge climbs the ladder, grabs the suitcase, and wins the MitB, before the other superstars even got a chance. Edge now has a title shot whenever he wants, and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Edge legit won the MitB WWE Championship Match -- Last Man Standing Match The Undertaker vs. Carlito Time for Wrestlemania's main event, who better to be in it than the Undertaker himself, and the Rumble Winner, Carlito. Undertaker finishes his entrance after 10 minutes putting on an amazing show, and Carlito comes down quickly eating his apple. The bell sounds, and Taker knocks Carlito down with one solid punch. He lifts him up and DDTs him, he then lifts him up again and hits a double arm chokeslam. The two trade strikes before Carlito is hit with another double arm chokeslam. Taker locks in the Devil's Gate! He releases Carlito as there is no submission, then stomps him. He clotheslines Carlito when he gets up, then slows the pace down with a series of strikes. TOMBSTONE! The ref starts counting, and Carlito gets to his feet at 7, he wont give in. Taker hits another double arm choke slam. Carlito gets up at a 1 count. Yet another double arm choke slam, and he gets up at 1. Carlito sweeps Takers legs from under him and eye rakes him. He hits Taker with a clothesline and goes for another one, but is grasped around the throat, and hit with a chokeslam. Taker lifts him up and whips him out of the ring, and follows him out. Carlito just throws Taker back in again, and elbows him in the face. Carlito goes in to the ring, Taker sits up. Tombstone yet again, surely it's over! Nope, Carlito gets up at 5, even more determined than before. Taker hits him with a flying clothesline, then a powerslam, before locking in the Devil's Gate again, releasing the hold, and letting the ref count. He gets to 7 and Carlito gets up. Taker gets back to work and hits a backbreaker, and another Tombstone. Carlito gets up at 7. Taker hits another backbreaker, then a snake eyes followed up with the devil's gate. This time, Carlito doesn't get up before the 10. Undertaker wins and remains the WWE Champion. Can anyone stop him? Match of the Week: MitB, it went for ages irl with some nice action.
