Does anyone know the type of mechs that will be available?

If so, which will be your favourite?

Yes the mechs that are avalible when you get the game are the Atals , Owens, Uller, Elamental,Cattpult,Couger, Thor, Uzeil, Madcat,and Vulter. there is another mech in the game but you will have to play to see it.
there will also be a few that will be on Xbox Live but i dont know who.

The best mech in the game is called the Ragnarok, and it is an ancient tech which you must beat the game to obtain. it also has a weapon called the Lava Cannon which is the strongest wep in the game. it does 1/4 health per shot and it shoots 3 rounds per shot. does this answer ur question?

Best mech ever is WarHammer. PPC cannons for arms sweet! Range of 2 miles.

Did any one play mechwarrior for SNES?

Missed that one. I recently bought Mechwarrior 4 vengeance and black knight cheap for the PC, to tide me over until release. I never saw a war hammer.

I think the NovaCat looked pretty cool. But I have a feeling the lighter Mechs will do better online due to their speed. Newbies will pick the heaviest mech they can and get wasted.

WarHammers in MechWarrior2 for shure. It's in the table top game(figures and boards).

This is why they are not in MW4. I prefer the Clan mechs too. My fave is the Timberwolf (looks like a madcat)

I would have to say Battle Cat is my favorite mech. Not only is it somewhat fast and maneuverable, but it also has some friggin awesome armor and weapons. A drawback is it cannot fly and get around some objects. This game is so awesome!

Just beat the game and the Ragnarok is cool. I personally prefer its alternative though, the YMIR, same chassis, differant weopon loadout.

Overall I think the THOR is pretty well rounded with its size, weopon loadout and jump-jets.

Oh, and other available mechs that werent mentioned above are PROMETHEUS, (atlas variant) BELIAL,(uziel variant) MAD DOG, KIT FOX, SUMMONER (thor variant) PUMA (cougar variant) TIMBER WOLF (madcat variant), there are more but I cant remember.

The "BEST" mech is definetely gonna have ta be the Uziel, the weapons kick ass and the Beliel variant has twin GAUSS rifles. It's fast, manoeuverable, has jump jets, and has loads o' armour. Oh ya, and the Warhammer is sometimes called a "Loki"

I would have to say my favourite is not a mech,but an elemental! I think your probably all saying
The answer would be that it can go where mechs can't and jump from building to building (dodging the newbs heavy and slow mechs)letting offa few good shots on the arms. It all so is is tough to beat a mech/elemental combo. I faced 2 of of each on a team against me and my allies (a one elemental and 2 mech teem. we won ,but barely

an easy way to kill a shielded masacary with a light (puma) is before he gets in range find a wide building or obstical and charge your ppc,then when you can see that his shield is doun let go with your full arsenal Then dodge behind a building for around 3 seconds (charging your ppc) and strafe out to unload once more. If he desroys the building and ingage the cloke and never stand still

Ragnarok is my favourite, because I like the shield. I never figured out how to use the lava cannon though, maybe I couldn't get it because I just finished it on normal difficulty.
