There are 17 games in a regular season. Depending on how you do, you will play one or two playoff games and then a divisional championship game. Then the Superbowl.
I don't know how different this is from past Madden games, but there is 30 seasons you can play through until you have to start a new franchise. ------------------- | |

... there are 16 game, per team, a season. 17 weeks in a season. each team gets a bye. Depending on how well you do (if you make the playoffs) you could play 1 more or 1 less playoff game.
