Raceway Rules - Required Tags, Journals, & The Friend Code Database
|
REQUIRED TAGS -- important![Open] - use the open tag for any type of battle that anyone can respond to [Friendly] - use this tag for friendly races [Competitive] - use this tag for competitive races, and for those who are looking for a challenging race [Tournament] - use this tag for a tournament (remember to ask a moderator for permission before starting one) [Team] - use this tag when the race is for two people [Battle] - use this tag when requesting a battle, not a race [Closed] - use this tag when you'd like to keep your thread open, but are not taking any challenges [Requesting Closure] - use this when you'd like your thread closed and please report the first post
NOTE: Your thread is your responsibility. If you'd like members to obey certain rules during the race/battle, then please specify them in the thread and confirm that your opponent understands the rules. If an opponent breaks a rule deliberately and admits it or you suspect he broke one, please PM me.
If you do not know what to put as the tag, simply use [Open] for an open race thread and [Closed] for a closed one.

JOURNALS -- *new feature
THREAD TITLES
Thread titles must include two things::
- the mandatory [JOURNAL] tag
- your username
Example, [JOURNAL] Nightmare
This title is very important, as this sub-forum contains both journals and battle/race threads, which have multiple tags. If your thread title is not in the correct format, it will be edited, so be sure that it is correct.
NOTE: You may request a subtitle or caption for your thread, such as an update of what you've just added, or a small image. To do so, simply PM me and I'll be happy to add something small in. An alternative to this is adding a "-" and some text afterward to the title of your thread.
Example, [JOURNAL] Nightmare - UPDATED TIME; Mario Circuit
JOURNAL CONTENT
You can include whatever data you like in your journal, as long as it is related to Mario Kart Wii. Please try to shy away from massive first posts or having more than 3 posts with information at the start of your thread. If you need help with organizing your thread, please feel free to PM me and I'll do my best to help you out.
ONE THREAD PER MEMBER
You get ONE thread. Once your current thread reaches 25 pages, please create a new version of your thread. Next, report the last post of the old thread and include a link to the new one. I'll then lock it and set it for deletion in 7 days.
POSTING IN JOURNALS
Please keep all journal comments supportive and positive. If you feel that someone is abusing your journal, please report their posts and ignore them, I'll deal with them. (:
If you have any questions regarding journals, please PM me.

FRIEND CODE DATABASE GUIDELINES -- *important, please read
POSTING IN THE FC DATABASE
Posts may only contain ONE thing:
- YOUR FRIEND CODE.
Nothing else. If you can't follow this simple rule, then I can't be sure that you'll follow the rest of the rules here. This is just a preliminary precaution on my part.
NOTE: If you do add other text, it can ONLY be to notify me of a Username or Friend Code change.
Example, I've changed my Username from Gothicmoon to Nightmare, please update it!
OR
Example, I've changed my friend code to 0000-1234-5678-9000, please update it!
OTHER GUIDELINES
- YOU MUST BE A MEMBER TO HAVE YOUR FC/USERNAME IN THE DATABASE.
This is of utmost importance, really. Members organize threads in this forum and they sometimes continue their conversations through NeoPM, a function that guests do not have. I urge all guests to register in order to gain full access to the functions of Neoseeker.
If you have any questions regarding the Friend Code Database, please PM me.
