Help: Mission help and game saves |
|
Need some help with this game, as it is very confusing and poorly done.
1) I have just entered the "Dust" area. Good. I have a mission where I must intercept so data carrier or something. He is driving in a truck. Good. So, how exactly do you kill him? I've tried ramming, explosives, my assault rifle, and combinations. Nothing stops him. What exactly am I supposed to do? 2) I saved the game right outside of the mining area. I failed the mission. Fine. I'll reload my game save. But it constantly puts me in a completely different area when I reload my game save - a guerrilla base. Why? This is not where I saved the game. I tried this again three times. And it still does not save in the proper location. Why are my game saves spawning me somewhere else? A piss poor game design question? I've spent half the game time re-driving to the areas I saved at. Is there any way to fix the game saving? I've looked around, and there are no patches for this game? And to top it off, they put the game slowing down Games for Windows Live bloatware. Maybe I should reconsider paying for my damn games.

you always start at a base after saving and if you have it try the rocket launcher or nano rifle to take out the courier

1. An EDF machine gun vehicle won't go amiss, but they'll take a lot of hits. Data carriers eventually get out their vehicle once you've followed them for a while so you can gun them or run them over.
Assault rifles aren't going to take out a vehicle, and if you tried explosives you just didn't try enough. Rocket launchers and rail guns (snipe the driver through the vehicle) also work wonders once you get them. 2. You go to a base when you reload, a very good design choice in my opinion as it stops noobs save-scumming (mainly saving before and during a hard part and reloading whenever they die) I imagine it also makes the game saves much smaller and less complex as saving in any location would require the game to be able to save and load any location after the game save, likely increasing loading times, which people would complain about. quoteYour opinion so I can't say it's wrong but I can challenge you to do better quoteOr rent before you buy? ------------------- ![]() SSBB: 2020-1443-1767
