Welcome to Swords and Siege Weapons
A game created by BrokenKnights, this will a blend of Forum RPs and Console RPGs. You will control the character you have chosen in the Alliegence thread and fight with him/her in a wacky story that I will create based on the outcome of battles. You can defect, kill your own lord, do anythign you want!! HOW tO JOIN 1. Register a Character in the Alliegence thread 2. Post in here that you want to play and wait for me to put up your stats ------- PLAYING the GAME Every battle is unique. I will post up certain condtions which each of the forces are trying to achieve - these are your main goals when playing the game. So, how do you go about achieveing those goals. You'll notice that each character has a Speed stat. This is the amount of time you must wait between "turns". On your turn, you can do many different things, depending on where you are on the map. The most basic actions are Attack and Defend. You can only attack someone in the same area as you - the damage you deal is equal to your attack stat. Defending is a little more in depth. Here is my first Advanced Techniques box. Read it carefully! quote Advanced Techniques Box 1Attacking and Defending is not all you can do your turn. You can also Move, Duel, or use a Special. Special Attacks - Special attacks each can only be used in certain areas and have wide and varying effects. Read your specials carefuly and PM me if you don't understand how to use them. Moving - Moving is your characters ability to move from one "area" to another. Basic areas are "Allied Castle," "Battlefield," and "Enemy Castle". It takes a turn to move from the battlefield to an allied castle or vice versa. You are not allowed to move into an enemy castle until the walls have been destoryed. However, once this happens, you may ener and exit it without wasting a turn. There are more area than these that are specific to certain battles. Movement across or between these areas will be explained before each battle. Dueling gets its own special box. if you have any questions about dueling PM, me, ZTR, or spawn. Special3: Hookshot - Allows entry/escape into/from enemy castles. Using the hookshot takes a turn. You must be adjacent to the castle to get in and can only escape to adjacent areas. Attack: 3 Defense: 1 Speed: 2 hours Duel: 6 Special1: Shadow Cloak - when in affect you cannot take damage or attack and you can use "Breach Wall". "Shadow Cloak" only lasts 2 hours after use. It must be rescast to stay in effect. Special2: Breach Wall - Enter a castle before walls are down. Does not waste a turn. Using "Breach Wall" Deactivates "Shadow Cloak". Because it does not waste a turn you can recast "Shadow Cloak" or attack immeadeatly after entering the enemy castle. Special3: Water Run - Able to move acorss bodies of water without wasting a turn.
Attack: 3 Defense: 3 Speed: 2.5 hours Duel: 7 Special1: Mirage Attack - Slam into an opponent for 2 Damage and then hurl your chakrams at two other opponents, dealing 1 damage to each of these other targets. None of the targets can be the same. Targets must be in the same area as you. Special2: True Musou - Deal 2 damage 3 times, can be spread out or massed onto one opponent. Can only be used when you have 5HP or below. Targets must be in the same area as you.
Attack: 2 Defense: 1 Speed: 1.5 hours Duel: 4 Special1: Dance - Deals 1 Damage to an opponent. Every time you consecutively use "Dance" on he same opponent the damage increases by 1. Target must be in the same area as you. As long as you do not attack or defend, your combo stays - meaning you can move on one turn and then resume dancing on the next to keep building damage. Special2: Melody - Cure 3HP to an ally in the same area as yourself. You cannot heal over a character's MAX HP. "Melody" does not affect yourself. Strategists sleva10 - Hanbei Takenaka
Attack: 3 Defense: 1 Speed: 2.5 hours Duel: 6 Special1: Thorn Trap - Regardless of where you are, set up a Thorn Trap with 8HP. It deals 1HP damage to anyone that attacks your gate. Special2: Gate Bomb - a Bomb can be created and placed at a gate, dealing 4 damage. The bomb takes a turn to make (you cannot denoate the bomb on the same turn you create it). It can be handed off to another player and/or then used without wasting the next turn. Special3: Personal Drummer - Send a drummer with 2HP out to follow one of your allies around the battlefield. The drummer adds raises the ally's Attack and Defense stat by 1 point each. Once sent out the drummer cannot be assigned to another player. You may only have one drummer out at a time.
Attack: 2 Defense: 1 Speed: 3 hours Duel: 6 Special1: Battering Ram - When in your castle you can send out a battering ram that does 4 damage to an enemy castle wall every time your turn comes up. Your battering ram has 12HP. You can only have one ram out at a time. Special2: Catapults - Deal 1 damage to 2 different enemies outside your castle. Damage is unblockable. Your castle walls must be intact and opponents must be in the adjacent area. Special3: Flag Carrier - Send a flag carrier with 4HP out to follow one of your allies around the battlefield. The flag carrier cuts 30 minutes off this ally's attack time. Once sent out the flag carrier cannot be assigned to another player. You may only have one flag carrier out at a time.
Attack: 3 Defense: 0 Speed: 3.5 hours Duel: 4 Special1: Fire Storm - Deal 2 damage to everyone (including allies) on an area adjacent to you. Cannot be used on a castle with intact walls. Special2: Midline Shot - Deal 1 damage to anyone in the adjacent area when in your castle. Does not hurt or lower defense on defending characters. Special3: Cloud Ladder - Send out a Cloud Ladder that has 8HP. While the Cloud Ladder is up, you may pass freely into or out of an enemy castle without wasting a turn. However, when using the ladder you will be vulnerable to attack and suffer 2HP of damage when entering or exiting. Enemies may also use your Cloud Ladder if they want to exit/enter their castle quickly and will also suffer the 2HP damage. Special2: Nanman Ground Pound - Pick up an enemy and slam them into the ground to deal 2 damage, shockwaves created deal 1 extra damage to all soldiers, allies or opponents, in the same area as you.

Attack: 3 Defense: 1 Speed: 2 hours Duel: 6 Special1: Summon Tiger - Call a tiger that has 6HP and deals 2 damage to a target when its your turn. You can only have 1 tiger out at a time and tigers can only deal damage to opponents in the same area as themsleves.
Attack: 2 Defense: 4 Speed: 2 hours Duel: 5 Special1: Steal - Deal 1 damage to a target and recover 1HP. Also, if the target has the Power Stone you will steal it.
Attack: 3 Defense: 0 Speed: 4 hours Duel: 6 Special1 - Assassinate - If an opponent has 7HP or less, you can use this special to instantly kil them. You must be in the same area as the target.
Attack: 0 Defense: 3 Speed: 1 hour Duel: 4 Special1: Copy - Copy an opponent's or ally's Specials. Copying does not take a turn. However, using the ability does take a turn. You cannot copy more than one set of abilities at a time.

Nu Wa acts every time its your turn. Nu Wa cannot act on the same turn she is summoned.

Attack: 2 Defense: 4 Speed: 2.5 hours Duel: 6 Special1: Hell Laser - Deal 3 damage to one enemy in an adjacent area. Can be used from your castle. Special2: Ruin - Deal 1 damage to everyone in an adjacent area. Ruin can work on castle's with intact walls.
Attack: 1 Defense: 5 Speed: 2.5 hours Duel: 6 Special1: Shirahadori - When you are in the same area as Sasuke and attack him, regardless of if he is defending or not, you take 2 damage as well.
Attack: 3 Defense: 3 Speed: 1.5 hours Duel: 7 Special1: Pole Vault - Exit and enter your castle without wasting a turn. Special2: Extend-O Staff - Deal 1 unblockable damage from the same area or an adjacent one. You can use this from inside your castle.
Attack: 3 Defense: 4 Speed: 2 hours Duel: 10 Special1: Jaw of the Lion - This move does not take a turn. You have to be in the same area as your target when you use it and you have to attack this target on the same turn. When you use "Jaw of the Lion" you put an enemy into an "engaged state". If the enemy leaves the area you are in while in an "engaged" state, he/she will take 4 damage. Only one person can be "engaged" at a time.
Attack: 1 Defense: 4 Speed: 3 hours Duel: 6 Special1: Kiss of Life - Using Kiss of Life puts an ally into a "divine" state. When in a "divine" state an ally can only be KOed if they have 1HP. Meaning any extra damage given is negated. So if the player has 3HP and is hurt 4, he/she only goes down to 1HP and can then be killed on the next turn. In order to use this technique, the character in question must be in the same area as you to initiate the skill. Only one person can be in a "divine" state at the same time and you cannot kiss yourself. Special2: Ghost Tails - Summon up phantom whisps of energy hat deal 1 unblockable damage to 3 different targets anywhere on the battlefield. Da Ji
Attack: 2 Defense: 1 Speed: 3 hours Duel: 6 Special1: Fox Demon - You can summon up a "Fox Demon" with 4HP. After being summoned, the "Fox Demon" will repair 2HP to your castle gates. You can have 2 "Fox Demons" out at once. Special2: Fire Wheel - Deal 2 damage to 3 different enemies in the same area as yourself.
Attack: 5 Defense: 3 Speed: 4 hours Duel: 8 Special1: Wrecking Crew - This skill is always active. It allows Kai Meng to deal 2 extra damage to enemy castle walls. Specail2: Beserker State - Entering the "Beserker State" costs 5HP and costs a turn. Deacivating the "Beserker State" does not cost a turn. For the end of every round that the "Beseker State" is active, Kai Meng loses 2HP. While in the Beseker State, Kai Meng's Attack is raised to 7 and his speed is reduced to 3 hours. Also while in the "Beserker State" Kai Meng can use the Special "Saturn". Special3: Saturn - Kai Meng must be in the Beserker State to use this move. It deals 4 damage to everyone in the same area as himself.
Attack: 4 Defense: 4 Speed: 4 hours Duel: 8 Special1: Serpent Statue - When in the same area as a gate, you can leave a statue to guard it. The statue has 5HP. Enemies cannot attack your gate until they break the statue. Speacil2: Blaster Chain - Deal 2 long range damage. Can be used from inside your castle.
Attack: 3 Defense: 2 Speed: 1.5 hours Duel: 10 Special1: Destiny Bond - This attack does not take a turn. Opponent's must be in the same area as you when you use it. This move puts opponet's in a "bonded" state. If a character you are bonded with kills you, then that person dies also. You can "bond" with as many people as you like, but you can only bond with one person a turn. Mitsuhide Akechi

Special3: Way of the Samurai - Deal 2 damage to 2 different enemies in the same area as you.

REFRESH: Time to Heal-- Even when your castle is destroyed you can still heal normally on a peak. ATTACK: Avalanche!-- Every peak is laden with heavy snow. Attack the peak from the slope or from the peak. Once the infinitely looping HP of the peak reaches zero, an avalanche will trigger. After the avalanche the peak's HP gauge returns to maximum to begin the cycle anew. What happens: Everyone but the avalanche starter is swept off the mountain and onto the nearest Plain for one damage.
REFRESH: Time to Heal-- From the tallest mountain, you can heal 5 HP instead of 3 HP! ATTACK: Avalanche!-- Every peak is laden with heavy snow. Attack the peak from the slope or from the peak. What happens: Everyone but the avalanche starter is swept off the mountain and onto the nearest Plain for three damage. ATTACK: Ice Sniper-- From this vantage point you can hit any battlefield from here. If you don't have a long range attack, you can throw a snowball at one warrior for one damage.
BUILD: Igloo Fort-- Take two consecutive turns to build an ice fort of 10 HP. You can split the work with teammates, but only one person may occupy an igloo at a time. Igloos cannot be repaired. You can build as many igloos as you like. You can only construct an igloo on the Plains. In the event of a Mega-Avalanche, the igloo will be annihilated reguardless of HP and occupant will recieve half avalanche hurt-- 3 damage. Igloo etiquette: Going in or out an igloo does not take a turn, HOWEVER, you CANNOT do both in a turn. As in, you can jump out, attack, and then jump back in. Every trip is one way with igloos. You can jump out and attack, but you have to wait to you next turn to crawl back in. The next turn you can attack and then hide inside the igloo. You CANNOT attack or defend or heal within an igloo.
DANGER: Super Slippery-- If someone hits you while on the glacier, you will slip down onto the plains (Nishi or Higashi) of your attacker's choice. DAMAGE: Glacier can be attacked-- The glacier has a looping lifespan. As in, once it is fully depleted, it will start all over at full strength to be chipped away again. DANGER: Mega Avalanche-- When the glacier damage reaches zero, it will trigger a mega-avalanche. Enormous slabs of ice, tons of smothering snow, and semi-frozen slush will spill upon both Plains. What happens: Anyone caught in it will get 6 damage and be swept to the bottom of Frozen Falls. If the Ice Bridge is up, it will also incur the damage. Who's affected: All on the Plains. Everyone on top of the glacier EXCEPT the person who sets off the avalanche. If you set off an avalanche from the Plains, you WILL get caught up in it (but for half damage- 3)!
INTACT: Bridge Crossing-- When the bridge is up, it will NOT take a turn to go from Plain to Plain DAMAGE: Bridge can be attacked-- You can smash the bridge if you want. Once it is down, it is down forever. DESTROYED: Gap Hopping-- When the bridge is down, you WILL need to take a turn to leap from Plain to Plain.
CAUTION: Slow Climbing-- Since it is so sharp and slippery, it WILL take a turn going IN or OUT. DANGER: Fish in a Barrel-- Being the lowest point of the map, you are vulnerable from attacks from above. Anyone on either Plain can attack you, but you cannot attack them from this position.
+ Mount Mizuiro Peak - Summit healing is at 3HP. + Mount Murasaki Peak - Summit healing at 3HP. + Glacier Shelf - Climb up onto the glacial ice for cool refreshing breeze and reflecting sunlight. Stay on glacier shelf for six hours and you automatically get 2HP. No turn necessary, you just get it.
+Glacier Sled - Ride from Glacier Shelf to Plains with ease on a chunk of ice. Does NOT take a turn getting OFF the glacier. -Climbing Up - It DOES take a turn climbing up into a new area. Plains to Glacier. Plains to Mountain Slope. Mountain Slope to Mountain Peak. Mountain Peak to Inside Your Castle. Light Special Attack: Photon Cannon -- a white-hot laser beam that bounces off anything until it ricochets into its target. Deals 1 unblockable damage to anyone anywhere on the battlefield except those that are inside a structure (castle, igloo, etc.) Special Effect: Aurora -- a warm glow makes you naturally unaffected by the cold

In the far reaches of the north, Da Ji has been mining for the Power Stone of Light. Too bad for her, Nobunaga got to it first. Da Ji calls on Tai Mao's greatest invincible retainer, Kai Meng, to help retrieve it. Using her mind control abilities, Da Ji is pitting our heroes against their dearest friends and family. Amaterasu has come to help break Da Ji's spell. But is it too late? Have our hero's friends been corrupted by power, or will they return to the good side after being freed of Da Ji's spell. You guys get to decide.
Da Ji hopped down from the throne and punted a kneeling messenger across the room. "What?! Nobunaga has the power-stone?!" She snapped her fingers, summoning her retainers. "After digging all those tunnels, you idiots still couldn't find some stupid glowing rock?" she scolded as she lightly danced down to the waiting row of generals. Mitsuhide Akechi bowed. "M'lady." The veins in his temples were pulsing with magenta colored light. "You all know what to do. Hurry up and lets get out of this freezing dump!" Meanwhile, over in Byakko castle, Nobunaga's forces were about to be visited by Amaterasu... ---- MIND CONTROL Both Amaterasu and Da Ji have mind control powers! They both can take temporary control of their minions bodies when their retainer's turn comes up. Da Ji's mind control is too powerful to resist. Her "retainers" maintain personality and memory, but their logic has been rewired to follow Da Ji's cause. Thus they cannot percieve their minds are being influenced, they feel their own wills are overlapping with Da Ji's purposes. How to break free: Warrior must be reduced to exactly 2 HP. In this near-death state their minds clear and they have a choice to defect. If they stay loyal to Da Ji: They'll get a neurotransmitter boost of 5 health points (7HP) and start fighting for the evil fox spirit once again. If they defect: They must be careful-- if the defector heals past 5HP, and Da Ji still wants them, she can grab their mind back, turning them instantly back to her side! That's right, if you recover more than 5 HP, Da Ji can seize your healthy mind. Da Ji does not lose 5 HP retainer bonus upon defection. She keeps it because you are potentially hers unti A)Battle end or B)You die Objectives: Amaterasu Allies - Thwart Da Ji's evil plot, try to save your friends/allies from her mind control. Battle ends with Da Ji's defeat. Da Ji Denizens - Crush these interlopers! Get that Light power-stone back. Battle ends with Amaterasu's defeat. Actually, it is quite easy to comprehend. These more outdoor battles need the elemental effects....
----- There was no grand entrance. No parting of the clouds or explosions of light. Only when dawn came, the sun peeking over the jagged white-tipped mountain range, did Amaterasu appear. The Sun Goddess just blinked into existence in the war room of Byakko castle. Amaterasu looked like a young Japanese woman with long black hair wearing a dark red and white kimono with marigold and orange accents. "This one is Amaterasu." she said with a rich Northern accent. Nobunaga did not flinch. "Prove it." "Observe." A pale hand emerges from the ornate kimono sleeve and points palm-out toward the open window. When Amaterasu uses her power, her dark hair illuminates into a vibrant gold as she begins to hover as if she is in zero gravity. Her outstretched hand begins to glow hot like sword resting in the coals. Amaterasu uses her special, Ghost Tails and fires three wisps of energy out into the icy battlefield. Each blast causes one damage to the Ice Bridge, Glacier Shelf, and Mount Murasaki's Peak. Mitsuhide Akechi looked out across the icy landscape. He saw Nobunaga's banners in the opposing castle that loomed on the mountain opposite.
And yet he felt anger at those bright fluttering standards. The lord that trusted him was an enemy. And that was all that crossed his mind. Even his old friendship with Ranmaru Mori didn't seem to pull at his conscience. The friend was there but he still had to kill him. "The Glorious Da Ji must win here" he said, expressionless and hollow tones escaping with each thoughtless word. He descended from the walls, and picked up his katana. The flames of war sprouted in his palms as the cool metal sheath connected to his skin, and he felt an electric presence in his very heart. Da Ji's enemies would die on the blade, leaving it warm with their blood. "I will orchestrate the demise of Nobunaga Oda" he called into the icy wilderness, before running through the open gates and out onto the peak. Kai Meng looked out over the battlefield.. "Hmph, a bunch of frozen mounds of earth, always great." Meng then picked up the weapon next to him, and flung it over his shoulder. "I hope we can end this soon, for its cold out here... oh well, just for the sake of keeping warm, I shall stay here and defend Da Ji.."
With the, he ran over to Dai Ji and stood by Ji's side, ready to deflect anything that came Ji's way.
