DW6:Empires :: Meng Huo Returns!!! (page 4) |
|
Koei is ramping up for the Tokyo Game Show coming October 9-12. They even created a website to make sure fans get the highly-anticipated information directly.
Koei's TGS site It appears someone jumped the gun. TGS has always been a great platform for big reveals. To make sure every title gets its due, Koei has a titles page that displays the games. For a few hours this morning before the mistake was noticed and corrected, Koei had two games they were trying to hide behind the curtain until October.
In haste, the icons were quietly and quickly removed, leaving the the initial batch (most already known).

Brilliant, I can't wait for this!
Hopefully there'll be a few changes for the next-gen, and not some re-hash of DW5 Empires ------------------- ![]() Credit to BG for banner and SXH for avatar Three Kingdoms/Sengoku Era Officer Hurt & Heal

What do you think the odds are for it coming out for the 360 as well?

*facepalm* Empires? Godamnit...
And it has a 99% chance of going onto 360, Han Ning. Koei's been putting DW games on Xbox since 3. ------------------- ![]()

I don't know. I'm already looking forward to getting Dynasty Warriors 6 Special as it is. I'll just bet the DW6: Empires won't be released until sometime in 2009, though. But for me, I'll wait until there's more information out--like whether it will also come out for the PS2 or not since I really can't afford a PS3.

If yall hear a loud bang, that's the sound of me shooting myself. This and DW6 special proves Koei's hopeless. Why couldn't they learn to just flush away DW6 like it deserves...

DW6 is fine. The only real problem was that their general audience didn't own a system they could play it on. And of course the Musou Modes. If 6Special doubled the number of Musou modes, itd be fine.

if DW6:E Has no more clones and a CAW mode, it MIGHT be playable.
Though, I do prefer them to knock out with DW6 and head to SW3. -------------------

I have good hopes for DW6 Empires.
DW6, regardless of the clone sets and cut characters, was broader as a game in terms of game play. It had new features that made the entire game smoother, more playable and kinda refreshed. Yeah, the game got tired quickly with the cloned movesets, but DW6 Special shows that KOEI is at least rectifying that mistake in part. Hopefully DW6 Empires might introduce a broader range of controls and tools etc that moves the game from being a simple mash up of the main game with a few more controls to an actual genre of it's own with the features of the main game being just a part of it's make up. Still, am I hoping too much? ------------------- SXH女神瑪麗亞

It wasn't fine in the least bit.I bought it when it first came out.Got home, started Zhou Yu's musou mode.By the second stage, the game play bored me.By the end of the story I found it difficult to keep playing.I only kept the game as long as I did in order to find a positive(other than Zhou Yu kicked ass) and because of my stubborn nature when it comes to selling games. Some of the maps were nice at first but there were to few and got boring quickly as a result. The renbu system was a nice idea but gave even less combos than before thus getting extremely old quickly, made faster by the clones.Took away the joys of a special weapon to achieve which made it harder to use the clones.I used well under half the people and never even finished the musou mode's that were there. Many that I did beat took weeks as I would only play a stage and leave it for days. They even managed to cause me to not want to touch Lu Bu.When I played I pretty much only used Zhou Yu and he was the only one I maxed out, others weren't even close.

The game was too easy, even on the higher difficultly levels.Only three maps took longer than 20 mins to finish and only the first time.It had the potential to be fine but someone round house kicked it across the face giving it brain-damage.It was the only time I sold a game to a store and felt I ripped them off when they gave me over 20 dollars for it.Never would have guessed they could have made something so much worse than DW4.
Making an empires for it,generally their worst expansion scam of Koei's,is just a bad idea waiting to happen. If not,I'll buy it and be Koei's best friend. Sorry for double post,PS3 type limit sucks. -------------------

*rubs hands together*
Am I the only one who is not sarcastically saying I'm looking forward to Empires? And I haven't even finished it's predecessor yet! I really don't play anything else on the PS3 besides DW6, which might change when the new PoP comes out, but still, Empires is something I'll be adding to my list. ------------------- ![]() Watch Streaming Episodes of Jericho!
