6 new characters and the return of CAW. Pretty good deal.

As for DW6 on PS2, yeah, Neo has the forum listed as DW6:Empires for some reason. In Japan it was DW6: Special, but in North America it is simply "DW6"

And after a couple of weeks playing it... it is awesome! Well, not the best, but still very impressive. Slow-as-molasses-lag in 2P, but I think it did okay not knowing first-hand how it should be (current gen systems).

However, as expected, the story mode-less clones killed any appeal for their characters. Why play as all Wei Yan / Xu Zhu / Huang Gai / Dong Zhuo when only one would suffice?

Perhaps Empires will change this...

... hopefully it comes to the PS2 too.

Yeah so I got DW6 for PS2... its pretty fun... I've been personally more distracted and awed with WO2

The story mode in WO2 killed me even more than the ones in DW6 did D:

Still no release date on DW6:E I presume.

though I must say I'm highly intrigued by the strategy cards, and if the scenes of people talking are in actual CG rather than have emotive renders sit there, then Koei's stepping it up.

though with these strategy cards, what're they going to do about the Specials? y'know... the Fire and Volley and Rockfall, all that stuff.

The Japanese DW6:Empires website has updated.

Meng Huo is back! And he has been hitting the gym! What would you call his weapon? In his screenshots he is swinging around a stone pillar, a palm tree, and a giant mushroom.

So yeah, Meng Huo has hulked-out and now bludgeons people with random objects. There is a high possibility Zhu Rong will be re-added too (I mean, how could they not?). Maybe DW6:E is the return of the Deleted Seven (Meng Huo, Zhu Rong, Xing Cai, Jiang Wei, Pang De, Da Qiao, Zuo Ci)???

Wow, this is some good news regarding Empires. It's nice to know that they are bringing back some characters. I mean, Meng Huo just looks awesome in this redesign! He looks kind of like Marduk from Tekken to me. And that pillar is a total copy of BK's King Duosi from his Three Kingdoms books. Just saying.....

Me and MCC were talking about that pillar. Hopefully KOEI steals alot of stuff off of my rewrite of the story

MCC, do you (or anybody else) remember whether King Dousi was in Book 1 or 2. Cuz if its in Book 1, which is publically aviable, I'd find it pretty hillarious. Especially if some characters liek Sun Mai and Chen Wu start popping up..

The screenshots of Meng Huo using a giant mushroom, palm tree and stone pillar seem to suggest one thing.

Interactive battlefields? Finally?

I remember getting fed up in DW5 of being knocked into tents, and the damned thing didn't react, it just remained oddly stoic for having taken the weight of a low flying Chinese warlord.

Maybe they are on the way to changing that...?

Yeah, I don't remember exactly, but I think it was in Book 2. But, I guess you could consider Book 2 publicly available because it is on these forums. Plus, I think I remember something about KOEI putting this site up as their forum on their website. So, who knows. Maybe KOEI's taking notes...

Meng Huo got a nice makeover. I'm hoping the rest will soon join him, but I have a feeling that might not be the case...

I'll end up buying Empires anyway, though. Since that's how DW should of been made to begin with.
