re: Samurai Warriors THREE!.... for the Wii?! (4 new characters on page 2!) |
quote kakuseiWell, I wasn't really going for a God of War approach on DW games, just a little more seriousness. The era was pretty dark if you asked me. And, I think I agree with you on that last point. If other companies made Three Kingdoms games from a darker standpoint, I think they'd sell pretty well. I'd buy them! -------------------

while I do disagree with putting SW3 on the wii, I for one don't feel like having my games morbid, gloomy, and sadistic. In my honest opinion, realism would be a bit dull and... depressing and from a business standpoint, Koei would lose alot of their fanbase doing so.
In anycase SW3 for the wii just makes me worry that SW3 won't even be better than DW6, idk why though. -------------------

quote Power of SlashYeah, while I do agree that they could lose a lot of fans, they would also gain some more serious ones. I would be more into the series, and I don't think that the game would seem like a younger kids kind of game that could be played on the Wii that way. I don't know, maybe I'm the only one that really thinks KOEI should make DW and SW more gory and twisted. Maybe its because I'm a Cao Cao fan. -------------------

quote JacqueseVonRIPWhat was that game called -- with the guy with the flourescent lightbulb / light saber?? No More Heroes?? That guy was chopping off heads and dropping f-bombs all over the place. That was a Wii exlcusive. And just wondering what you guys consider children... like 12 and below? Because I'm sure most of you aren't too much over that... ------------------- ![]() TRISTAN ASHE

But how many enemies were on screen at once, how many characters needing how many stories, how many maps, etc.I just don't think the Wii can handle what SW3 should be,it'll just be a watered down DW6.A double watered down game is beyond even words to speak.
I dont think it's an issue of the age group of the system,it's the crappy system(sorry, really dislike the wii). -------------------

FOUR new characters revealed:
A spy infiltrated Koei's HQ and caught the teaser trailer to SW3: * The good news: 4 New characters shown. More warriors! The bad news: Nobunaga wearing the same SW2 armor. If everyone stays the same, would this be a SW2:Special of sorts (i.e. more of a SW2.5 instead of a SW3)? An "untrue" sequel? As always, info taken from KoeiWarriors. SW3 official website and better quality trailer coming soon... ------------------- ![]() I met my nemesis. With our blades, we spoke more than words ever could.

I'm assuming Nobuyuki would have on the Sanada crest or w/e, not that circle on Guan Yu guy, so my dreams are crushed. The bottom left looks like he's buddies with Motonobuna Chocobo. And the one on the bottom right could be Hidetada Tokugawa. But its really anyones guess. Wouldnt be surprised if the top left was a remade Kunoichi.

k, I'm going for these:
1. KunoichiRed ninja figure, woman... Maybe koei is returning her? 2. Not a clue yet. Perhaps one of the tokugawa guardians? 3. Kanbei KurodaFrom the back view, it looks like some strategist robe. But the front looks more like a commanders outfit. I picked Kanbei because I give him quite high chances. 4. Dominico Sanchezanyone remember that spain guy from Kessen III? Perhaps it's him. -------------------

Predictions:
Ninja woman: Mochizuki Chiyome, the Takeda kunoichi. Basically, the real world version of SW1's Kunoichi. Green clad warrior: Kato Kiyomasa. He has the Kato clan crest two places on his attire. Shadowy figure: Hojo Ujimasa. KOEI loves to make Ujimasa an evil looking person, and he was one of the more requested characters. Only other person I could think of to fit that would be Saitou Dosan. White/Western warrior: Could be a christian samurai like Konishi Yukinaga or Takayama Ukon, but I'm thinking it's either Takenaka Hanbei or one of the Shimazu, like Toyohisa or Takahisa.

Those are some good picks. Here's mine...
Predictions: 1. Woman in red = Matsu Maeda 2. Guy in Guan Yu-green = Kiyomasa Kato is a strong possibility... 3. Man? in long coat = Naomasa Ii (no idea, too shadowy) 4. Dude in white Euro armor = William Adams? Sanchez like jeffo said? I have no clue... Date likes Western armor so it could be Kojuro Katakura... I am most "sure" about Matsu Maeda. Toshiie Maeda was added for SW2:XL, so why not add his warrior wife? Flipping through the crest index, #2 has a few contenders: Those that have single-stroke circle:
The only problem is that Yoshitsuna Takemata is rather insignificant. He was an Uesugi retainer that fought a few battles. ------------------- ![]() I met my nemesis. With our blades, we spoke more than words ever could.

I don't think its Matsu... only because of the color of the armor... If it was goldenish I would believe more.

Honestly, I really doubt it's Matsu. The look just doesn't fit her. And I also doubt Matsu is included in the game in the first place if Toshiie doesn't get a personality and model change.
And it's definitely the Kato clan crest if it's a crest at all. No one from the other three clans have anyone worth adding. And out of all the clans, Shimazu are the ones with the most western influences, which leads me to believe that #4 could be one of their members. Though, the face reminds me of Hanbei.
