Sup guys. Playing Resistance 2 and Call of Duty World at War atm. Good games.

I wish I could play MGS4 on like the hardest difficulty and get all the emblems but I have no patience for doing shit over again. That's why I never did any COD campaigns on Veteran, etc. Btw Master Cao Cao, Metal Gear Online isn't that good. It's a good concept but wasn't executed to its fullest. People are too easy to kill, doesn't seem like there's enough depth, etc.

Don't play DW6 or Special Random hero jr. Giving them their old weapons is just a shitty excuse for us to buy the same game. Play DW3 for nostalgia and forget about that crappy game.

Ah, well, its good to know that I'm not missing much with no MGO. But, even so, it would be nice to have considering its pretty much my favorite game.

I haven't bought Resistance 2 yet, though. But, it looks good all the same, and I did like the first one. I'll get it eventually. But, as for DW6, I'm disappointed that KOEI made a game for the PS3 (a very powerful system) that was also released on the PS2 with improvements! Even though the graphics were brought down and the swimming taken out, they did add musou modes and improve characters, proving that they could have done A LOT more with DW6 on the PS3. I mean, just take MGS4 for example, now that's using all of the PS3's immense power to create an insane game! Props to Hideo Kojima for being more awesomer than KOEI.

I think summer just killed the forum and then the lack of new info kept it that way.

And it's not an excuse. The next gen systems are pretty pathetic if you ask me. I was reading an article, will have to find the link, that showed that PS2 is still played more than 360 and Wii combined. I'm not saing PS3 games are any better, but Im defintely still using my PS3 for PS2 games more than my Wii for Wii or PS3 for PS3. That plus the Blu-ray player make it a much better choice.

Microsoft is gonna have to pump out another system that reads Blu-rays, not just for the movies but even for the games, just to keep up with the PS3 in the next few years whereas the PS3 could actually weather another generation with maybe just some updates. So this "price excuse" for the PS3 isn't going to matter when all you conventional gamers are buying another Xbox in a couple of years.

Well, I do know that the wii (for a 3rd year in a row) prevailed over the PS3 & the 360 in the whole "must buy" thingy.
But that's just in Europe. And because of the casual gamers.

I just prefer the 360. You never know though. Is there a reason the PS2 is more played? Maybe the people that have yet to buy a 360 or PS3 or wii are the cause of it.

Even so, I haven't seen the link. So I can't say anything.
It's just personal preference really.

I've recently started playing ROTK VIII again. The only one i've managed to get here in NZ.

I have some new games like Resistance 2 and stuff.. But I just can't be bothered playing them for some reason.

PS3 ftw. I bought an Xbox360 on boxing day sales just so I could play fable II. I've only played like 3 hours so far.

I heard Fable 2 sucked balls, get Fallout 3 if you like RPG/exploring games, the world is massive.

I still haven't picked up DW6, I was tempted to get it a few days ago, but then I realized I'd be supporting KOEI (I got Dead Space instead). Come on, cutting characters, re-introducing them on expansion packs? That's so 2003/2004/2005. The game I might be picking up is Samurai Warriors 3.

I really hate it when people consider Fallout 3 and RPG -- I think it falls much more heavily into the exploring side of that slash then RPG. If you like RPGs you play Persona first then Fallout

Thanks dude, they really did *bleep* up Lu Xun and Zhou Yu. Most look pretty cool, especially Zhang Liao and Taishi Ci. Lots of spear wielders. And Meng Huo actually looks pretty cool.

Fable II was pretty horrible.

Fallout 3 = Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, except for the more future-oriented people. Started off quite slow for me.

But speaking of design, has everyone seen the DW:Strikeforce (Multi Raid in JP) Shin-kakusei forms? They have SK versions of every character except for Diao Chan. Ling Tong's shin-kakusei is the worst. Dreadlocks, really? The character designers went nuts.

DW6:Empires, DW:Strikeforce... its like Koei keeps repackaging the same product (DW6) with new improvements. Craziest of all, did you hear about "Warriors Orochi Z" a PS3 adaptation of WO1 and WO2 with a little bit of new content (two new characters, Gyuki and Dodomeki available in story mode, and few new stages).

As for me, I've been busy with work and school and a little bit of Gamefly subscription. I'm doing a farewell tour of PS2 (hitting all the best games I've missed) as I save up to buy a PS3. This week I finally got Warriors Orochi 2.

After playing DW6:S, the DW5 characters just seem so pale. I was floored by DW6. It took a few plays to get used to the change from dial-a-combo to endless square chains with charges for breakers. I find myself missing those grapple moves. I'd always KO a commander with a grapple for laughs. *cue Zhuge Liang's "cone of silence" *

However, the clones killed any lasting appeal. If the character was a clone, I'd max their better and then only play as them a couple times to hear their quotes and reactions to things. Then they just disappear in lack of interest.

Musou modes were important too, but the story-less non-clones like Sun Ce are a must play. I just made-up a mode by going to Sun Jian and Zhou Yu levels.

Horses... pfft! Forget it. Random luck for a supreme horse when a near-perfect horse can be raised instead? I'll stick with my "Chrome King" (only a few from 500 in all stats) thank you much, Koei.

And the lack of swimming... It is very bizarre to see all bodies of water amount to only ankle-deep streams. DW6:S must take place during a drought in China.

Oh, and Cao Pi is the best new character.
