So is this game similar to Final Fantasy A2? I finished it and I wanted a similar game like it, and I wondered if this is like it and is the ps2 version like A2 aswell?

Thankfully no. The Disgaea series is on a whole other level when you compare it to the FFTA series. Disgaea will make you wish other Tactical RPGs had the same about of entertainment value and challenge.
Disgaea DS is a port of Disgaea~Hour of Darkness on the PS2. The DS version has a few more added features, an added bonus story and characters. In addition, it has the added benefit that it has a stylus and its portable. -------------------  | |

Disgaea feels like Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy Tactics put together. You're able to command every unit on your turn, just like in the Fire Emblem series; and each unit can be equipped with armor and weapons just like in the Final Fantasy Tactics series. Also, the map is isometric like in the FFT series.
