The forum is kind of dead at the moment, and I'm hoping this would help pick up the activity a bit, besides, it has been about 4 months nearly, since the last contest concluded (a good 1/3rd of the year!).

Last Contest.

This is basically a pre-contest thread intended to toss around opinions on such a contest, and if it is to be done, how to proceed (judging? Votes? Pin the tail on the donkey?)

So, what say you, members that don't visit anymore?

I like this one, I see no reason to change it.

Well, there's very little to talk about when all you have is the main game, a dumpster full of bonuses, and and some fun merch that came from the game. I think we hit an extended spike that's mellowed out.

In my mind, Disgaea lacks those particular foot holds to keep it's forum population up; a massive talkative fan base or a strong, competitive, online mode to discuss tactics/experiences.

I visit. Heck, this is still my home site. I'm just waiting for someone else to notice it's basically dead.

You wanna chat back and forth on Off-Topic? I can do, just so you know... for old times' sake.

Any other suggestions for getting the forum more active? I don't really want it to die V_V

But, that's what you're supposed to do! Although questions do stir me out of my lurker mode.

Yeah, in the other related NIS forums I have faved, I look for new posts, and most of the time they're questions. Either I, or Frozen Atari usually get em within a couple hours or so, of posting.

Hell, Disgaea is still like the only forum I post in.

Well, Disgaea isn't one of those games where everyone who is going to play it buys it within the first month of its release. New people just happen to find it cheap in a store or hear about from a friend or forum and decide to check it out. So new guys trickle in.

Still, some of our talents may have improved... maybe. >.>

Not me though, blah, I haven't even 'shopped in like, a month or more I think, waaaay too many shifts at work for me to feel up to it, plus, not too much to work on (not many requests in the anime forum for a change) >_>

You should have hit me up man, I'm not the best, but I do well enough (see my current sig) XD

I can't do some of those really flashy effects (like floating ribbons and whatever), but then again, I don't just DL someones abstracts renders and cheat that way (some people do that) XD

Been meaning to eventually get one of those digital pads, but they're not cheap....
