I think this version is better for the game, as it's based on the comics. Besides, if they went by movies Superman would be royally *bleep*ed

I believe Ed Boon said they are not allowed to use the film outfits due to these been held by the studios and not DC or something.

Key Points;

• Reptile won't be in as a character. Possibly secret, but unlikely (mentioned because a million people on midway forums constantly spam threads demanding Reptile )
• Basic Story Premise; The universe merging came about when Raiden and Superman were doing very powerful things at the same time and space as each other in the parallel universes, causing the fabrics of their universes to rip apart and merge together. Both sides think the other is invading or something, thus chaos ensues... or something.
• Rage mode is something that happens because of the merged universes and, perplexingly, causes the characters eyes to glow yellow. This is fine in rage mode, but apparently when performing a fatality/brutality their eyes glow still, which looks a little off-putting IMO.
• Answer's to mundane fan type questions.
• There will be a merged boss type thing or something, possibly a mix of two bad guys, like Goro and Doomsday's love-child or some other shit of that type.
• Other things I can't remember because I'm tired... watch the interview!
• There is no part 3.

Deathstroke!!!!!

He's less menacing this big, and his Uzi thumb looks manky, but other then that I like him. Aside from his blue becoming black, they've stayed true to comic Deathstroke surprisingly enough (for those of you who don't know the comics but watch(ed) the horrid teen titans cartoon, he was Slade, a version which IMO peed all over the comic Deathstroke ). I'm guessing sometime soon we'll be getting Kano, since there's a space introduced for him in the MK side (scroll down )

The Tarkatan Warrior, Baraka (A nice, elegant render of him is here)
The Nemesis of Superman, Lex Luthor (It is unknown whether he'll be in a super-robot-suit or if he'll be the version that can kick-ass after taking Bane's super-steroid-poison-juice.)
The Evil Emporer of Outworld, Shao Kahn (apparently one half of the super-fused-unplayable-OnagainDeception-style-boss, being fused with;)
One of The Most Powerful New Gods and DC Villains, Darkseid (oooooh)

All of this information is courtesy of xbox360achievements.org, who leaked the information in their achievement list for MKvsDCU (Master Shao Kahns combos / Complete Darkseids story / etc.)

This has been speculated to be fake, but apparently IGN say a press release from Midway confirms it! (No Cage... it'll seem odd )

So yes, that's the character roster rounded out rather neatly. Now we just await renders and, of course, the actual game (remember, information DISCUSSION thread is for discussion )

I'm guessing Darseid and Shao Kahn will be off-screen or something, unless that isn't a finalised character select. (P.S., anyone wondering why Shazam is being called by his actual name now, it's because DC and, as such, MK can't advertise him as Captain Marvel, since that would infringe copyright laws, so they had to call him Shazam in info releases and advertising things, but they can actually call him Captain Marvel in the game)
