I found the voice to be a little whiney at first, but it has grown on me a bit. At any rate, it's better than Tobey Macguire's robotic performances in previous games.

I found the voice too whiny and all. I liked the sarcasm he had when talking with others, but the voice itself . . . nah. I don't know, I might just be used to the way Tobey's voice sounds for Spiderman

Hmmm...
Spiderman's trademark, aside from his spider powers is his witty remarks and sarcasm. Of course of all the 'Golden age' hero's he did have it the worst. So I can see why he is that way. The voice is ok, a deafinate improvement from Toby *shudders* Though I think they could have done a little better. So far out of the 8 or so guys that have played him, I think the best was the guy from the 1990's cartoon. Even if it was the most heavly edited and 'kiddie' version of the webslinger, it had the best voice. I give this guy a 7/10 simple due to the fact that if I hear the phrase "MJ!" One more time I'm going to rip out my ears. My only other complant about the voices was Black Cat. In all the games she's appeared in they have never once used the same person to do her voice. In Spiderman 2 they had a good on, but this time around....she sounded more like an angry highschool cheerleader. Mary Jane was good, and so were the others. Over all, I give the game a 9/10 for voice overs.

If you ever want a good laugh, go to wikipedia and look up that show. The editing they had to do is SO pathetic, its funny.
These are from the site, and I checked the source material, these examples are true. They could not mention "death", "die", "lill" or any other word with a strong negative meaning. Death was to be avoided, leading Semper to skirt around the issue. "Destroy" and "destruction" were frequently employed as synonyms Spider-Man was not allowed to hit anyone with his fist, however there were a few exceptions. In Episode 39 ("The Spot") in which he used his spider-sense to guide a punch through a dimension portal and knock out the Spot. He also punched the Scorpion twice in "The Final Nightmare." And my personal favotire. Spider-Man was not allowed to harm any pigeons when he landed on rooftops. I'm serious, these are all true. I actually started watching JetX each morning to see Spiderman to see if it is. So far, 18 episodes I have seen, Spidy hasnt hit a signle person. And no pigeons have been hurt. Go to wikipedia to see the rest. I give the creaters major props for creativity in getting around the extreamly long list of dont's. Oh and the person that SHOULD have played spidy is this guy. Christopher Daniel Barnes.

Yet Wolverine got away with punching Cyclops in the stomach, and then threatened to use his claws next time.
Fox network = fail Personally, this guy's voice sucks. This is not Spiderman, and also wreaks of California, (I believe the dev studio was located there as well), and not New York native. In any case, though they couldn't use Toby again, obviously, they should have just went with Mark Hamill (Ultimate Alliance Spider-Man). ------------------- N O T H I N G I S T R U E / E V E R Y T H I N G I S P E R M I T T E D

That wasn't Mark Hamill that was Quinton Flynn, I'm disappointed Raijin.
But you're right, Flynn did the best Spider-Man voice I've ever heard. If they don't get him in UA2: Fusion then I'll be pissed. And yes, this Web of Shadows guy sucks....possibly the worst yet. This message was edited by Kudzuka on Feb 08 2009. -------------------

re: Spider-Man/Peter's Voice |
quote Mr GrayNot quite true. There is a difference. The reason Spiderman was so heavily edited was it was to be aired in the UK which has some very odd censership laws reguarding kid's shows. X-Men was never aired in the UK and was only available via video rental. Dont blame fox for that one (though feel free to blame them for any of the other multitude of screw ups they did.) quote Mr Gray quote KudzukaOk, I still say Christopher Daniel Barnes was the best spidy voice actor, but Quinton Flynn is a good second to me. But I think we can all agree that the guy they got could have been better, but was still at least better than Toby the robot boy.

re: Spider-Man/Peter's Voice |
quote Gamesta100You dont know the half of it. Beast Wars Transformers had to be renamed Beast Battles and both the opening and closing songs had to be rewritten for both the UK and Canada. Also as far as TMNT is concerned, there is an easy way to tell which series was aired only in the US and what was aired abroad. Michelangelo His character was the only one edited so badly that its sad. If you see him wielding nunchaku the series was US exclusive, but if he's using tonfa OR A jouhyou then the series was aired overseas.
