'World Tour News' -Monkeys still at Large-

Previous Link to NEWS (news on page 1 and 2, trailer on page 2, pic of drumset on page 1 etc.)

Wii DLC

Good to know that we'll get the same modes as everyone else.

Though, looks like we won't be getting DLC on GHIII. I'm not too bummed though, least we get Band VS Band... and I'll just make the songs myself later (although mapping TDWDTG won't be fun...).

The new 'create a song' interface.

Some weirdo some guy must have made up.

The guitar customizing looks great.

EDIT: Also, reportably, Dream Theatre have a song in there (which is a good thing).

EDIT AGAIN:

Blink 182's "Dammit" was featured in a video showcasing the game's drum set featuring Blink 182 and +44 drummer Travis Barker doing motion capture for the game. The video also featured Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith along with The Police drummer Stewart Copeland commenting on the performance of the prototype drum set

Oh shit, could that last bit that you posted mean Boss Battles for every instrument? =O

Also, if they're leaking all of this information, when are we going to get a possible release date...

There's a Career track for all four instruments, so I would like to think so. =D

Hmm, getting some Chili Peppers, fantastic.

Now I will be wondering what song it is until the setlist is released.

Also some Dream Theatre (supposably), which is also fantastic. Now we just need some Children of Bodom...

Seems like there are seperate instrument bosses.

EDIT:

If you want the complete package which contains the game, a mircophone, a guitar, and drums then it is $189.99, a few dollars less than Rock Band but keep in mind that the prices are not confirmed yet.
Doesn't suprise me.

re: 'World Tour News' -Possibly now with 10 frets-

I didn't really like the solo buttons the first time I tried Rock Band, although I didn't really understand what to do with them. All I know is that we better not have to use them. I wouldn't very much enjoy that. D:

Those don't look like solo buttons, though. Those look like just another set of buttons. Potentially, it could make it easier for some people, but I'm not seeing a whole lot of use, out of that. =?

re: 'World Tour News' -Monkeys still at Large-

I personally wouldn't mind having 10 frets coming down the screen at me, but I'm probably one of a few. But looking at that custom screen up in the second post (I think) it doesn't look like that is the case, unless they've screwed it to look like it. Then again, I swear the people in the trailer we got a little while ago didn't have more than 5 frets, I specifically looked for it, and I could only see 5! Strange...

Looks like the drums will be EXACT replicas of the real songs as well. They actually look a bit better than I expected. Although I'm not really sure if the 'touch sensitive' pads are of any real use.

EDIT: One thing I don't know about, on that same custom screen I was talking about, if you press 'select' it says 'ALT', what the heck is that suppose to mean/do?

re: 'World Tour News' -Possibly now with 10 frets-

The Game Informer interview said that the old guitars would be compatible, so those extra buttons are solo buttons at best.

re: 'World Tour News' -Possibly now with 10 frets-

I was thinking that the old guitars could be used for Bass Guitars (which wouldn't have solo buttons or more tha 5 anyways).

I seriously hope they aren't solo buttons.

NEWS:

Chris Martin confirmed in Entertainment Weekly Magazine that Coldplay's song "Violet Hill" will be featured in the next Guitar Hero game.
Not sure I'm liking that... I really hope they don't do more 'vocal inspired songs' just cause they got a mic now... stay Guitar, please...

that's the only thing i hope doesn't happen. if guitar hero became like rock band and pussified the guitar part, i would lose all interest in GHIV.

re: 'World Tour News' -Possibly now with 10 frets-

Exactly. The reason I'm looking forward to this is the difficulty, as Rock Band is much too easy. If they can incorporate the diversity and difficulty in the same game, then I'll be satisfied.

Also, the hammer-ons are actually visible. =S
